About the Business
Camp Agape is a vibrant outdoor ministry of the Lutheran Church, dedicated to fostering personal growth, community building, and spiritual enrichment for individuals aged 5 to 95. Nestled in the serene landscapes of southwestern Pennsylvania, approximately 35 miles southwest of Pittsburgh, Camp Agape spans over 250 acres of picturesque rolling hills, fields, and forests. This natural setting offers a tranquil backdrop for guests to immerse themselves in the beauty and wonder of God's creation while participating in an intentionally Christian community.
Our mission at Camp Agape is to provide a nurturing environment where children and adults alike can explore and develop their talents, build essential skills, and gain the confidence needed to face the world. We emphasize the importance of community, hospitality, relationships, inclusive diversity, safety, and trustworthy stewardship of God's gifts, guided by the principles outlined in Romans 12:5, Leviticus 19:34, I Thessalonians 5:11a, Galatians 3:28, Isaiah 25:4a, and Luke 16:10.
Camp Agape offers a variety of summer camping programs and retreat facilities that cater to diverse needs and interests. Our programs are designed to affirm each individual's unique worth and encourage them to grow into their fullest potential, grounded in the assurance of God's love.
We proudly hold accreditation from the American Camp Association, ensuring the highest standards of safety and quality in our programs. Admission to Camp Agape is on a first-come, first-served basis and is open to everyone, regardless of race, sex, color, religious affiliation (attendance is not restricted to Lutherans), national origin, or handicap condition.
