"First off, make reservation for the time you want. You will be much happier than just showing up. Second thing, if you're a crab cake aficionado, and you really like blue crab, particularly back then blue crab Maryland style crab cakes, then the ones you'll get here are a facsimile but not the exact thing as clearly. As clearly, they are using swimmer crab and not real Maryland blue crab. If you aren't really paying attention that much, you won't notice much of a difference. But if you are a crab cake snob like me, then you will. The rest of the stuff is pretty good considering the economic climate. Meaning the portion sizes and the amount of actual seafood that you get for on a seafood dish is kind of limited. But you experience that almost every restaurant these days. If you sit in the bar area it can be loud when they have live music be forewarned. They draw pretty good crowd here. Not a lot of rough types."

"Way to expensive… Food came out on time and the waitresses & bar tender were extremely nice and helped out with everything they could. My whole honest review of it? Not good.. the food tasted like someone scraped it off the side of a trash can. And not even 20 minutes after leaving, myself and my fiancés stomach hurt so bad we thought we had gotten food poisoning."

"I came to Hilltop Crab House on a Friday for all you can eat crabs. I came a little late but the staff was so accommodating and nice. The blue crabs were great. The place treated my wife and I so nice and the food was so good we ended up going back on the following Sunday and we ended up having the same great experience. The blackened Ahi tuna was great and who would think ordering a side of crab Mac n cheese would be so fantastic. Oysters were great too. Some of the reviews on here aren’t factual, just mean people with frustrated lives is what I gather. This place is definitely worth the visit. Definitely my new go to place."

"It was my fiance's 36th birthday dinner on Saturday. So we decided to go there for all you can eat crabs. Are reservations for 730. The place was packed.. Her father and herself got all you could eat crabs. Her father and herself got all you crabs. The waitress told us we only had about 1h left for all you could eat. They still decided to get it. The 1st tray came out in 5 minutes. But every tray of crabs was cold. They got 2 1/2 trays. The rest of the party waited a good hour for our food that came out. The mashed potatoes, crab cakes, and my shrimp were cold. After waiting for that good hour for our food we had to send most of our food back. That was a second time there in 2 years, and that will last time returning. We should have just gone to Bay Crawlers Crab Shack in Maryland."
