"I would never go to this store again. I gave them two chances to correct their mistake and they would not do anything for me. Very dishonest and unhelpful. I went into this store to transfer my wife and my phone over from Straight Talk. They told me that our phones had to be unlocked. I asked if they could check this for me and they said yes. I had them check mine and it was unlocked. I told them I didn't know if my wife's was and I had to go home to get her phone to check. I explicitly told them I did not want to change services unless both of our phones were unlocked and would work. When I brought her phone back, they checked it and said it was unlocked too. So we did the change, only come to find out that my wife's phone was actually still locked. So basically, it wouldn't work. I asked them what the next step was and all they could offer me was that I should sell the phone and buy a new unlocked one. I told them this was unacceptable and that I wanted to be reimbursed. They would not do this. It took me until the next day to get my wife's phone back over to straight talk. I went back in the next day to work this out with them. I wanted to give them a chance to make their mistake, right. They still would do nothing for me. All that could give me was a phone number that the guy himself said he had never called. I don't believe my critique is unfair or over the top. I simply wanted them to make right what they did wrong and was willing to give them the chance to do that. When all they offer me is "sell your phone" or "call this number" for a mistake they made, I find that unacceptable and can't believe they would rather risk negative feedback than to reimburse me for set up charges for a phone that they said would work, but didn't. (I didn't even ask them to reimburse me for my phone, because it did in fact work, even though that is not really how I wanted the whole situation to work.)"
"The gentleman I dealt with here was pleasant, extremely helpful, and knowledgeable. He answered my questions straight up, with no waffling or "pitching." He recommended a couple of options to make things easier that I mentioned I wanted to do. This is someone I'd be confident recommending my non-techie friends to. The service transfer was pretty quick for a weekend, and I get download speeds slightly faster than advertised. (Avg 9.25 Mb/s down and 9.6 up across 4 different spots around town.) Only one voice call so far, with a friend in Texas. 2.5 hours, and the call quality was fine, with no dropouts or other distracting stuff. It lived up to the billing and more. All in all, a very good experience."
