"Easy to find place, not a bad spot"
"A well maintained trail. Lovely scenery. And an overlook of the river valley. There are a few side trails to explore. My son and I have really enjoyed our hikes. There are a few picnic tables along the trail. Have seen a few people walking their dogs here."
"Multiple beautiful views, small rock overhangs, there's a spot about a mile down the trail where it opens up towards the top of the hill, and a stream comes down, and it's kind of breathtaking. There's some spots where you can get further up the hill too. You can walk out the woods between the trail and the water, and there's tons of spots to sit high above the river. There's a sewage treatment plant or something really close to the parking lot thas a lil stinky but uhh just ignore that, the rest is amazing!! It starts at the marina / restaurant near Fredericktown. I think the other side ends near Crucible but I've never been that far in the other direction. For running, biking, and walking it's a really good 5 or 6 miles!"
"What an amazing experience! We had been driving for two days and this was an absolute test for our physical body, our soul and our spirit. The walkway was level and wide. There were so many people out enjoying it! Truly a much needed addition to the area."
"The Greene River Trail is a 7 mile long well- maintained trail for hiking and biking. It parallels the Monongahela River with beautiful views. The trail goes past former mining sites and Rice's Landing, where the historical WA Young Foundry is located. Along the way are numerous informational signs that explain both the history of the area as well as the trees, animals and birds along the trail. The Greene River Trail is remote but worth the trip!"
