"My sister had an appointment today with this man and it was a horrifically unprofessional medical experience. After eight hours of testing, he spent less than 5 minutes with her and told her that she shouldn't have come in and there was nothing that could be done. She repeatedly asked who she could follow up with next and he refused to direct her to anyone, but tore a piece of paper off the wall, circled something on it, threw it at her and said, "here's a diagnosis for you." After 8 hours of testing."
"I tested for 3 hours in November, 2021; met with Dr. Furman for about 15minutes. "Diagnosed" me, sent me home for therapy. 9 months later, I have not only not improved but have gotten worse, according to the therapist there. What did he miss? I have NO quality of life and physically enjoy very little."
"He is so amazing and his ability to diagnose me will literally change my life. His staff was so fantastic and helpful. They understood the tests would make my dizziness worse and were so sympathetic and kind. I was even offered peppermint tea to help with the resulting nausea. Little things make the difference. Having a diagnosis and leaving his office knowing we are able to move forward with a treatment plan is such a huge relief."
"On my visit, he was very brisk with his time with me, which is normal of course he's busy. However he was rude and any response he had for my questions, and honestly offered no new information. I have a regular ENT who did all the same testing. If I would have known he would have done nothing new I would not have gone. He does what he does I guess he's supposed to be good but he's a rude old man and I'm not going back to him."
"An AMAZING experience from start to finish. I had anxiety about the testing and a nurse called me to go over what’s involved and walked me through everything and answered all my questions. She assured me that I could stop the testing at any time if I didn’t feel comfortable. When I got there the nurses were over the top comforting. They talked me through each test and did whatever they could to make me comfortable with each one. The staff chatted with me while I waited in the waiting room for 3 hours in between. The time with Dr. Furman was brief but one of my best interactions with a doctor that I’ve had. He stopped me from explaining something at one point saying “I read that in your background”. And as we chatted it was apparent that he had read ALL of it (or had at least discussed with someone who had). Which is why our time was able to be brief, however never did I feel rushed, he answered all my questions and took his time. He walked in knowing what I had and diagnosed me already. He did a few reflex tests and asked a few questions that weren’t covered. I’ve struggled off and on for 7 years and it’s such a relief to know it’s not all in my head and he had compassion for me as he told me that I have PPPD. I know people drive in from all over to see him and I honestly can’t recommend him and his staff any more. If I could, I’d give 10 stars!"
