"Booked consultation online for laser treatment. AT NO POINT was there a fee of $50 mentioned during the 4 steps on their site to make an appt. The confirmation email also made no mention of any fee. When I get to the office, they took my credit card and charged me $50. When I asked them to refund that fee for not alerting me of it up front, they literally said "well, there is no statement of a free consultation..." Except that... there is. On their website as you can see in the image I uploaded. "Q: Do you offer a free consultation? A: Yes! We offer complimentary consultations for all of our cosmetic services and would love to answer any questions you might have!" Interesting, when I was walking out of the office there was a woman on the front desk's phone arguing with someone about "paying only for the fees that were advertised..." Clearly, there are unethical things going on."
"It was a good experience with the staff at Norcal Dermatology. I liked it, however, more when Dr. Icecreamwala was there. Now it doesn't have the same feel or warmth. It feels less friendly."
"Very disappointed with NorCal Dermatology. I was just trying to get an ongoing prescription I have for retin A filled. I had 5 refills (was given the prescription when it was Icecreamwala) but was unable to get even a 2nd refill because NorCal wouldn’t approve it with my pharmacy. I was told not only that I had to make an appointment if I wanted a refill but also that they had to outsource that appointment because they didn’t currently have someone on staff who could see me. Had a great experience when it was Icecreamwala but this incarnation is nothing like it used to be. It seems more like a spa than a proper dermatologists office but they are using the reputation of the previous office."
