Reviews
"Amazing museum, and train watching, they also have a YouTube webcam."
"Went on a weekday when the museum was currently closed. The grounds were still open and you could watch trains (both CSX and Norfolk Southern run by the museum) and walk around and look at the locomotives on display."
"This train museum is definitely worth a visit when you take a trip to North East, PA. Especially for those trains lovers. Not only you can check out these older-version trains, it is also a perfect place to watch the trains in used as well. There is a little gift shop that offers a cool merch from cute key chains, post cards to the train operating manuals, not to mention a knowledgeable and friendly staff who would give you an in-dept details about the train history. Would recommend this train museum for a fun family day. There is no wait to enter, as well as no fee, though the donation is recommended in order for them to keep this place running."
"Great collection of locomotives, rolling stock and artifacts. Right next to the CSX & NS lines with many trains daily. Railfan community needs to find creative financing to restore and protect the preserved items, the donation box alone will not go far beyond everyday expenses."
"A great place to go. If the museum is closed you can still watch trains and tour the outside of the museum (just be respectful to their property). If it's open its cheap to get into the museum and tour that and get to look in and walk around the outside displays. The volunteer staff are top notch and very knowledgeable."
