"I saw Dr Combs twice for a hammer toe condition and it was a total waste of my time and money. I had seen another podiatrist regarding the condition but wanted a second opinion. Dr Combs strangely held my foot in his hand (while I was sitting in a basic office chair--not an examination chair which effective podiatrists use) and would not shave off the built-up callus as my previous podiatrist had done. He told me I needed a silicone sleeve (not a specific style/brand) to protect the toe and that the callus would eventually wear away. He left the room and I expected him to come back with a toe sleeve as my previous/current podiatrist had done. Nope!!! I went home and researched my condition and potential aids further. Went back to see Dr Combs a few months later since the condition didn't improve with his guidance. He had nothing new to say/offer other than to show me a link to a silicone toe sleeve on Amazon. He is a pleasant doctor but pleasantness doesn't relieve foot problems. Save your time and money and go elsewhere if you have a hammer toe!"
