Kenneth D. Vesio, MD

Kenneth D. Vesio, MD, located at 5200 Centre Ave Suite 514, Pittsburgh, PA 15232, is a highly respected cardiologist committed to providing excellent cardiovascular care. Certified in cardiovascular disease and internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine, Dr. Vesio brings extensive expertise to his practice.

Dr. Vesio received his medical degree from Temple University School of Medicine and completed his residency and fellowship at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, where he also served as Chief Medical Resident and Chief Subspecialty Fellow. Since 1991, he has been a dedicated practitioner at UPMC Shadyside Hospital and joined the UPMC Heart and Vascular Institute in 2013. His roles have included co-director of the Noninvasive Cardiology Department and achieving special competence in Adult Echocardiography.

In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Vesio is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, where he actively participates in the education of medical students, residents, and fellows. He has also contributed to numerous clinical trials and was elected a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology (FACC) in 1991.

Dr. Vesio's clinical interests encompass all aspects of cardiovascular disease, and he is dedicated to advancing heart health in his community. Outside of his professional life, Dr. Vesio is an avid exerciser with a passion for cycling and weight training. He enjoys traveling and is fluent in Italian. He resides in the North Shore neighborhood of Pittsburgh with his wife, and his two grown children live in the Greater Pittsburgh Area.
