"I went here to purchase a PS5. The box that the store manager girl brought out to me had two rips that came to a point in the middle of the box. It honestly looked like the box was dropped on the corner of something hard. I noticed it as I was walking out and she said something like "don't worry, everything's there" When I got to my car, after inspecting the box closer there was literally nothing but air between this puncture hole and the PlayStation. Whatever blunt force damaged this box could have easily impacted the PS5 also. I went back in and asked, hey can you at least warranty this for free cause like, this box is pretty messed up, and she refused saying "it's fine, I promise" and that I had a week to exchange it if there was something wrong with it. For a customer spending $450+, it really felt like she was trying to offload this obviously damaged inventory on me hoping I would just take it. In the end, I ended up just saying well if I can exchange it then let's just do that. The other guy working who exchanged it for me was understanding. But let's be real, if that unit got dropped, the damage might not show up in that first week. Screw that girl for lying and promising it was perfectly fine. There was no way to guarantee that. If it was as fine as it should have been for a brand new PlayStation it would have been in an undamaged box. There was a chance that whatever damage it took might not show up in the first week but it could definitely have damaged the integrity of internal electronics and connections. It's been 2 weeks now and I'm still honestly shocked they tried to sell me that"
"Went at 8 pm on Saturday night. Large woman with Red hair working the counter already had the door locked and just stared at us when we pointed at the sign....that clearly said open until 9pm"
"My grandsons love video games but I couldn't remember which ones and the lovely gal at GameStop helped me pick one. She was so patient and asked all kind of questions regarding my grandsons. Her name is Emily!! When you get to have someone like her work in sales and with the public (all kinds good and bad) well it was refreshing to see an energetic and personable human being especially in today's time. I will go back to GameStop and I will make sure Emily is there when I do. Thank you Emily. You made my day...and my grandsons will love their games!"
"0 stars for the cashier, Emily, who checked my sister out. She was on the phone with her coworker, Chris, half the time we were in the store. She was very loud and obnoxious. It made the whole experience really awkward bc we were ready to check out but she was still on the phone. Eventually my sister decided to checkout since the phone call was not ending. She was talking about random things and friends at the mall (not work related at all). When my sister checked out, she said on the phone, “I’m the president of your fan club” in a very weird voice trying to be funny. It was so uncomfortable. She did not get off the phone at all and WHISPERED the total to my sister as not to disrupt her conversation. It was the worse customer service I’ve ever experienced. I work retail and would never even think to be that disrespectful to a customer. Get your employees in check."
"5 stars for the guy who helped me (forgot to ask name). I ordered a few new games from the app and got old used cases instead. I got the refund at the time of return at store in cash without any hassles. Also, PowerUp pro membership wasn't reflecting on my account and the store guy just helped me get it. Really awesome experience, and I ended up buying two more games. Can't expect more. Will be back!"
