"If I could give a zero star I would. This company is nothing but a bunch of crooks. June of 2021 my parents got an estimate to have their driveway done. The guy told them it was required for a $2,000 deposit “just like all the other reviews said” they told my parents their driveway would be done by the end of June but did not give a specific date. June passes and they did not hear from the guy again. My dad repeatedly kept contacting them asking them when was the driveway going to be getting done; they pushed back the date to September. Again no time or date, my dad texted the guy and he was extremely rude and unprofessional. (Unfortunately my father passed in September) it is now a year after the situation and we have not heard from them to get back their money so we filled a police report for theft and will be taking them to small claim courts until they give my mother back HER MONEY. And whoever else they did this too I advise all of you to go file a police report. Because this company will get enough of taking peoples hard earned money. Do not be fooled by their Facebook Page, yeah the work looks good but do not trust them. So I will be seeing you in court best to believe!"

"I want to share with you the experience my wife and I have had with Steel Valley Paving and Concrete. In June 2021 we sought estimates to have a 17' x 20' stamped and colored concrete patio installed. We received a few quotes and decided to go with Steel Valley as they were the lowest bid, unfortunately that was our mistake. The craftsman said he wanted a $2,000.00 deposit, so we gave him a check for that amount. It was cashed a few days after receiving it. The whole job was quoted at $3,700.00. That was then and to this day work has never begun. It has now been just short of a full year since originally contracted. After repeated attempts trying to get the company to begin the job, it has not. We asked for a refund for non-service, but the company's stance is that they do not give refunds. We were told if we canceled the job that our deposit would be forfeited. In attempt to solve this issue, we sought help with the Mahoning County mediators, a free service to use and find a resolution prior to filing a claim in court. Steel Valley Paving and Concrete told the mediator that they still intend to complete the work. The mediator’s office gave a reference number to use in the advent a claim is made in court. This was roughly six months ago. To date, there still has not been any communications received from the company. When there were communications with the company, I found them to be consistently unprofessional, rude, unorganized, false promises made, and full of excuses as to why work has not begun. This has been an unfortunate experience for both of us."
