"Sales folks were great, had some issues with the administration of finalizing the agreement and financing, but Erie Homes worked to address the issues. Workmanship was AAA+ in terms of effort. Arrived early, worked consistently hard all day, but could have benefited from some direct supervision from Erie Homes. They did not clean up well and had to be called out for repairs that caused leaks in my ceiling. As before, their responsiveness from their operations coordinator was impressive and very quick attention was given to repairing the issues. I have attempted to obtain quotes from local carpenters to repair the plaster ceiling and hard wood floor damage, but haven’t been successful in finding someone interested in taking the job, and I’m approaching my 1 year agreement where the installer is responsible. The overall product is good. Again there are some craftsmanship issue in the finishing work that could have been addressed with some direct oversight. I am a big advocate of training and people willing to train as the key to our future success in trades. I wish everyone gave this type of effort. Thank you!"

"The roof is fine. This review is mostly for customer service. The workers seemed efficient although impossible to communicate with. They plugged TWO air compressors in my outdoor outlet and blew a fuse, so they had to come plug it inside my home, which is disruptive and annoying. You’d think after paying $13000+ for something they’d do a bit of a better job cleaning up after themselves. They left materials everywhere. After two weeks, someone finally came and picked up the shingles. They left a ton of stuff behind however and said nobody is going to come get it. Well now I have a mess to clean up and try to figure out what to do with it."

"I bumped into a steel roof ads the other day. My old roof from GAF is 18 years old. So I put my information in. Erie Home called me within 20 minutes and set up an appointment. Bryce and Matt came to my house in appointment day. Both I and spouse had to be there. They went into the attic and walked around the house and shared some pictures of concerns. Erie's steel roof is too expensive. We settled down on the fiberglass asphalt shingles, a blend of materials which is better than asphalt alone. The 120 mph gust resistance is quite impressive. Normal shingles can only last 70 mph gust. Erie gives 10 yrs free materials/labor warranty on any roof defects and 20 yrs free materials warranty. No proration on the material cost like other companies do. After the first year, any visits require a $125 service charge subject to inflation. They also threw in bonus for free like premium underlayment and gutter guard. With the bonus and discount, the price is still steep. The inflation over the years does take its toll. We watched the weather forecast closely and made sure there would be no down pour on installation date. They dropped the materials on the roof a day earlier. An all Mexican crew showed up at 6am and started the work. The foreman, Antonio can speak some English. A lady named Adriana was the point of contact. The entire job was done in less than 10 hrs. I was quite impressed. They fixed a warping OSB panel and installed the flashing and drip edge properly. All my existing features (bathroom fan, solar attic fan, etc.) were kept as is. It looked like 3 layers on top of the OSB decking, water barrier, premium underlayment then the shingles. They also cleaned up quite well after themselves using blower, and rolling magnet cart. I offered a case of bottled water. They didn't even bother to go in to use the bathroom. They seemed to handle the job very professionally. The roof does look much better. I am hoping this new roof will also lower my upstairs temperature (it's 5 to 6 degree F higher than downstairs with the old roof). The dumpster on the driveway is huge. They said it took about 3 business days to have it hauled away. A good installation is the key to have a long lasting roof. From what I saw, I have high confidence this roof would last 30 yrs. Update (6/10/2024): I went on the attic and found a gap at the edge. Texted Adriana on Sunday and on Monday a crew showed up at my door. They fixed it promptly. Very satisfied with the quick response."

"The two sales agents were knowledgeable and friendly and did a great job answering my many questions. I really liked seeing the actual construction materials which would be installed on my roof. One thing they did, which none of the other roofer estimate workers did, was inspect the roof from the attic. This really gave me a good idea of what I was dealing with in regards to the state of the original 25 year old three tab asphalt shingle roof. After a long unpleasant drawn-out process of back and forth emails and texts, and once the contract was signed, I called to schedule the install. Materials were delivered the day before and the crew showed up at about 7am the next day and got right to work. They all were friendly and worked almost non-stop until the roof was installed, which took one day. The supervisor readily answered my questions and was friendly. Could the clean-up have been better, yes. But in the end, the roof looks great and the architectural shingles make my brick home look like new again. I do believe that I got a high quality roof which should last the 30 years for which it is guaranteed."
