UPMC Mercy Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility

"Rehabilitation on the seventh at four is absolutely the best in Pittsburgh. I have been there twice both ways. Remarkable improvement to my condition with multiple sclerosis. I am trying to get back there right now but have the Mets win poor reviews from the place I am at now, which is impacting the decision to let me back. "This place is all about the 60% rule!!! Not worried about patients only about getting them out the door within 21 days so that they can keep their acute rehab standing with Medicare! Even though my father wasn’t stable on his feet, uncoordinated, and still restrained in his chair they needed him out! Practically forced us to move him to a skilled nursing facility. Even though Dr Gallong knew that there were no restraints! My father fell within the first 48 hours and was life flighted back to Mercy. In which he was then treated as an outpatient so that the hospital wouldn’t get dinged as a readmittance within 48 hours of discharge. After 10 days they then made him an inpatient but told us he didn’t qualify for brain rehab again. Gee, a concussion over a current subdural and subarachnoid hemorrhage isn’t a TBI! HORRIBLE PLACE!! If I could give them a ZERO I would! Photos are the day they pushed him out of rehab and then 48 hours later. Ridiculous"

"I had a great experience here my PT amieeand emily were amazing my ot laura was great she helped me with alot of things I liked the nurses and all the rehab dodger are smart some of the ptc are very rude but most are very nice I became friends with alot of them I was there so long I would definitely chose mercy they are great"

"I cannot say enough about how wonderful everyone here is, both to work with and with caring for a loved one. Very organized as all info is shared amongst each department. All of the pts and ots are wonderful but Becky in particular was so caring with my Dad. He couldnt wait to work with her and have a good laugh. The nurses were all wonderful as well but both Josh and Tony were fantastic and my Dad felt very comfortable with them. Josh went out of his way to make our transition as easy as possible by calling ahead to the next facility. I cannot thank him enough. The whole unit is very clean quiet and well cared for. Food is pretty good for being in a hospital. I would give 10 stars if I could!"
