"Very peaceful maintained trail. Never too crowded. Perfect for dogs and humans"
"Fantastic trail with something for everyone with its length. Urban encounters, solitude, a mix, tunnels, bridges, long viaduct over the connecting Panhandle Trail. Amenities, historical markers, points of interest, and more. An epic trail in Western PA that attracts out of staters. Trail volunteers out often keep it in tiptop condition. Come out for the annual Tour the Montour every September."
"The Montour trail is wonderful - and mile zero is a nice starting point next to the woods and creek. Unfortunately, the location and proximity to a shooting range bump this down a star. Around mile 1 is perfect, near some conservation land and much quieter with some good nature habitats."
"We love walking the trail every weekend. With so many trail heads around the area, you can absolutely find one to your liking and that suits your needs. The trail down off Coraopolis road is my favorite entrance to the trail."
"Every visit is always a great one. Beautiful scenery and there is something to do for just about everyone to enjoy. Walking, hiking, and biking trails. Dog park and multiple fire pits next to the waterfall/ pond. parking in different locations to choose from to put you closer to the parts of the trail you interested in."
