"My Dad saw Sheri Rolewski initially for possible skin cancer on his nose. She did a great job and good bedside manner with my Dad. Sheri did a biopsy also. He then had to get cancerous tissue removed by Dr Cowan. My Dad's nose looks great!"
"I saw the physician assistant, Lisa Ellis, several times for adult acne. I initially told her I felt my acne was due to hormones due to the fact that I am going through peri menopause. So, she started me on an oral antibiotic, metronidazole, which is typically prescribed for rosacea and topical Retin-A. She also told me to stay away from anything “minty” that could be causing breakouts occurring around my mouth, chin and jaw?? I tried this for several months without any significant improvement. I started doing my own research and found that spironolactone is used successfully for women with adult acne typically caused by hormones!! I wondered why she didn’t tell me this in the first place?? When I eventually went back, she reluctantly prescribed it to me because apparently I didn’t have the typical cystic acne that appears on the jawline, despite me telling her I have stubborn acne breakouts on the lower portion of my face including my jawline that occurs before my menstrual cycle!! She also told me it didn’t work for her, so therefore don’t be surprised if it didn’t work. Well, this has been the only thing that is working for me thus far. My last straw with her was when I returned for a follow up appointment and she scolded me like a child for increasing my dose from 100 mg to 150 mg without telling her first, despite the fact she told me at the previous visit that I could safely go up to 200 mg per day. The bottom line is, she didn’t thoroughly listen to me from the start, she didn’t properly diagnose me, and she was very condescending on multiple occasions. I work in the medical field, so I am in tune with the importance of having a good relationship with your providers. Unfortunately, she was not a good fit for me. I plan on finding a provider who is actually good at their job and is willing to work with me, not against me."
"Dr. Cowan and his entire staff is a five star quality care giving group. I had about a 2 hour drive to the Medical Center and I asked for a later appointment time. The lady I spoke to was very accommodating and caring and arranged an appointment 2 hours later than the original time. Upon arrival I had about a 10 minute wait and then was greeted by a very friendly, courteous young lady that escorted me to an exam room. She took my info and was patient, caring, and professional. Dr. Cowan was very professional, thorough, and explained everything step by step. He made sure I was comfortable with his decision as to how to proceed. He allowed and invited my input as to how the procedure should go. The procedure was done efficiently and professionally on 12/22. Dr. Cowan offered to meet me and care for me if I had any trouble even Christmas eve or day. I would recommend his care to all."
"They canceled my appointment and completely banned me from ever going there because I flipped out on one of the women I spoke to over the phone because I told her I think I have cancer on my back and she wouldn’t try to get me a sooner appointment. It’s an emergency and it’s December she told me they couldn’t get me in until March. And then when my mom called another lady picked up the phone and she made me an appointment for January 3rd. They called me and told me they canceled my appointment and that I wasn’t allowed to be seen there anymore. Even though their like the only dermatologist in butler and their making me wait even longer to find out if it’s cancerous. I understand I lost my mind for a minute but I DID NOT threaten to harm anyone I did not threaten at all. Sure I got vulgar but put yourself in my shoes possibly having cancer on ur skin and them not trying to rush an appointment since it’s an urgent matter. The longer I wait the worse it could get. And they don’t care."
"Sheri the physician assistant is very rude, Highly unprofessional, I will never accept a appointment that involves being seen by her. All other employees apologized for the way I was treated.. Strongly recommend this employee receives proper patient bed side manner training or is terminated from this practice."
