"Melissa is GREAT! Makes you feel at ease and was able to pick up on issues with my eyes others had not mentioned."
"I have been going to Dr. Zimm for 8 years. He treated my glaucoma and did my cataract surgery. He is very skilled and also very personable! I highly recommend Dr. Zimm."
"They have a very knowledgeable and caring staff! Every visit has been a great experience, from checking in to scheduling my next appointment. Would highly recommend"
"Dr. Zimm didn't seem to have great personal skills to me. I didn't feel he was interested in answering my questions about the surgery and my lens and vision options fully. Instead of listening to my questions or preferences and helping me chose what was best for me. It was more like, here's the option I recommend, and here's some other options, just pick something. And I had to go off and try to do all the research on my own. Speaking to his tech on the phone wasn't great either. One tech in particular spoke with very high confidence, but turned out to be completely wrong and was rude about it later, when I went to clarify the accurate information with her. And she also ended up relaying the wrong information to the doctor anyway and I had to request to only speak with other techs. It was quite stressful. That being said, the people at the surgery center he uses were wonderful and the surgery was very quick and easy and recovery went very well. If you're the kind of person who just wants someone else to tell you what to do and aren't really particular about results or interested in understanding whats going on, you would probably feel he's fine. Dr. Zimm claimed it would be impossible for me to see well with only one eye done and the other wearing a contact lens, given the differance in perscription, and I would have to get my second eye done very soon after the first surgery in order to function. Luckily he was completely wrong, and I see perfectly well with only one eye done and a contact lens in the other. I am very glad I will have plenty of time to shop around and find a more compatible cataract surgeon for when I need my second eye done."
