"While the staff is excellent at their jobs communication with them can be difficult to have needs meet."
"I never write reviews but am for this office because it was the absolute worst experience I have ever had with a physician's office. First my appointment was scheduled as a virtual appointment even though I requested in-person. Then it was cancelled a week before and rescheduled with a PA, which I was uncomfortable with. Additionally, getting any answers about anything is almost impossible unless you hound the office daily and half the time the answers I receive are incorrect. I also don't appreciate the obsession with communicating only through the app and not receiving a phone call for sensitive matters that require explanation. Just the worst all around."
"I have been trying to get an in person appointment since February. Every time I schedule they wait till a few days before and cancel my appointment and turn it into telemedicine when I have specifically asked for an in person visit. I called and complained. Their only suggestion is that I make a new appointment. I explain that I have already done this multiple times. My pcp with Upmc will not treat my thyroid issues and will only refer me. According to scheduling the next in Person appointment is now in Dec. and the only thing I can do is take that appointment after I’ve already been rescheduled several times or hope to go to a different location which is a further drive and requires me to pay for parking. How does anyone get treatment. I have been to my pcp twice since my original scheduled appointment. She keeps asking for an update. I cannot not get one. Terribly frustrating for someone who has nodules growing and could possibly have cancer."
"not happy with attention and care I got. so tried Allegheny Health Network. Much more patient friendly environment there, and much more satisfied with my overall experience at AHN."
"I was recently diagnosed with epilepsy and my seizures began August 2016. I was at work and was feeling dizzy and walked in my boss office and told him and then had a seizure right then and their. My blood pressure dropped real low and when I woke up I had no idea what happened. About 6 months later I was at work and had another seizure and hit my head on the concrete and was covered in blood and was rushed to UPMC Presbyterian still unconscious and when I woke up I had 30 staples going down my abdomen!!! When I spoke with the surgeon he said that he was worried about internal bleeding because my blood pressure was low which is ridiculous because everytime I have a seizure my blood pressure gets low and it's very common for this to happen!! In almost all epileptic seizures the patients blood pressure will drop!! UPMC had all of my emergency contact information from work and my family told them about my blood pressure dropping from my previous seizure and they still used it as an excuse to cut me open for no reason with no concent from anyone!!! They didn't even tell my family about it until they brought them to the ICU to see me! My family also told them to make sure I was strapped down because when you wake from a seizure you have no idea what happened or where you are or what's going on and Upmc just ignored them and when i woke up i ripped my breatging tube out!! They are lucky that i didnt rip my throat out or cause any damage that I'm aware of!! I have this huge nasty scar for no reason now!!! I will stop at nothing until I get justice for what was done to me!!! The so called surgeon didn't even come and explain anything to me while I was in the hospital!! I called him after my hospital visit to confront him!! He kept apologizing and saying sorry that it was for no reason and that they wasn't getting enough communication!! I shouldn't have to live with this scar for the rest of my life for their mistake!!! For their wrong doing!! For their lack of communication!! I would never have gave my concent for this and neither would anyone else in my family because they knew my blood pressure would drop!!! UPMC will pay for what they did to me and I will get justice!! I'm tired of looking at this ugly scar knowing I have yet to get any justice!!! I lose hours of sleep every night just laying their thinking about how wrong this all was and how they need to man up and take responsibility for their actions!! They need to take responsibility for their mistakes!!! I will get justice!!!"
