Why Donate Plasma?
Plasma donations are crucial for creating life-saving medicines and treatments. By donating plasma, you are making a significant contribution to the health of those in need. Plus, we offer competitive compensation for your time and effort.
Getting Started:
If you are considering donating plasma, you might have questions like, “Where is a plasma donation center near me?” or “What do I need to get started?” Rest assured, we are here to answer all your questions and assist you throughout the donation process.
What You Need:
To donate plasma, you will need:
- A current, valid photo ID (you must be at least 18 years old)
- Social Security Card
- Proof of current address (such as a piece of mail postmarked within the last 30 days, or a current lease)
- Active military personnel should provide both their mailing address and physical address.
Your First Visit:
Expect your first visit to take 1-2 hours due to the initial donor suitability screening. This includes watching an educational video, a medical history review, and an extensive health questionnaire. On subsequent visits, the process will likely take less time.
Comfort and Convenience:
Our plasma centers are equipped with Free WiFi and HD Televisions to help you pass the time while donating. Feel free to bring books, tablets, magazines, or music players (with headphones). Please note that phone calls and photographs are not permitted to ensure the privacy and comfort of all donors.
Health and Safety:
We adhere strictly to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s guidelines, allowing two plasma donations within a seven-day period, with at least 48 hours in between. Your body replaces the donated plasma within 24 to 48 hours. To ensure your well-being, make sure to stay hydrated and eat protein-rich and iron-rich meals before donating.
Compensation and Rewards:
After a successful plasma donation, you will be compensated. Returning donors can donate again after 48 hours. We also offer a rewards program where you can earn points for tiered rewards including Express Passes and e-gift cards.
Additional Information:
For more details about the donation process, visit our donor experience page or our FAQ page. You can also use our mobile app, OctaPass, to make your donation experience more seamless and efficient.

Reviews
"Unfortunately I’m writing this review because staff has been so like that the line to donate plasma has had 7 plus people waiting while one person does the physical. The last time I was here it was my turn to have a physical however they took someone who finished their survey after me and the people in line. Do y’all really need or want plasma?? Cause I watched people leave who simply could not wait… Update … the place need better customer service today I can in after waiting weeeks! I stood in line and herd a faint voice say something but there was no one at the counter so I continued to look in my phone… finally a few minutes later the voice that said something the first time said next… I noticed she was still LAYIN DOWN RESTING behind the counter not at the work station where she would be helping me. I told her I didn’t had her say anything and she said I must not have heard her… I told her I heard something but did not know who said it because she was not at her station. She said sorry because she was wrong but I don’t care"
"Very nice staff. But I couldn't donate because I take insulin and didn't find out until after 3 hours during the medical exam. It should be asked or poster.i drove over an hour and wasn't compensated. I was pretty upset about that. Maybe pre-screening on the website would help"
"You spend more time waiting to be seated in a chair then waiting online and being seen by a nurse. There turnaround ratio is poor. They clear a section don’t restock and take more time one the donor sits down. Poor attitude from some staff and some who are only there for a check. Management really needs to look at there staff. This location would be so successful if they put a bit more effort"
"I had my new donor appt and everyone at the center was very friendly and took the time to answer all my questions. Thank you Nurses Mary and Lee. I was a little nervous with it being my first donation and everyone from registration to the donation floor was reassuring and put me at ease. The center was clean and there was much transparency of the entire process. The only reason I give 4 stars was because I was there an additional hour when the website said to plan for 2 as a new donor (and it appeared I was the only new donor there at the time); We had some IT issues with my registration. Overall my experience was very pleasant and I will be returning."
