"This is in regards to my experience on 5/01/2024. I didn't get to experience an appointment as a possible new patient as their lack of cooperation was enough to turn me away. Per their website, I sent an email on Monday to set-up an appointment. As of Wednesday i had not received a call back. So, I called back. When speaking to the receptionist to help clarify a coverage question so that i could set up an appointment, I asked them to contact my insurance company about the approval i had received from my insurance company so that i could set up an appointment. She explained to me that they were a little short staffed and wouldn't be able to do that. I cut it off right there. With that lack of effort and cooperation, i decided to not waste my time any further. George"

"BACKSTORY: I have always had good experiences at AVC and have used them many times for contacts. However, for a few years I saw an ophthalmologist for a special eye test because that office had more availability for the test. Anyway, that ophthalmologist retired and I was having an I problem (and needed new lenses) so I saw the ophthalmologist who took her patients and was seen by their optometrist. The person was nice enough, but I was quite sure that they did not really have a good understanding on the advice they were giving. Had this person been knowledgeable, I would have let them fit new lenses for me. ACTUAL REVIEW: I made my appointment for contacts because it was time and I was still having my eye issue. I saw Dr. Vitali. First, let me say that this young woman carries herself with an incredibly professional acumen that exudes both competence and confidence. Second, she is both highly capable and easy to talk to. We discussed my issue and she recommended a simple, yet well supported solution that I was not aware of and yep, it worked. She is thorough in her evaluation and explanations. My contacts weren't quite right when I got them and she was able to identify the problem quickly for a resolution. Although it is clear that their business is contacts and glasses and there is a sales vibe (you probably needed glasses anyway), isn't it nice to know that they are competent and capable professionals with whom you can trust the health of your eyes and those of your loved ones? Honestly, I (and my son) have seen several optometrists in this practice and the level of care is consistently exceptional."
