"First time ever there, the seating was very uncomfortable and was like sitting at children's tables, very low tables! Ordered the veal parmesan, it was like eating a rubber band! Appetizer was amazing, the sauce was amazing, my wife's dinner was amazing, she got the eggplant Parmesan with a side of Meatballs, which were amazing! Restaurant business is a very hard industry, despite one bad dish, we will definitely be going back! This place is the real deal! Actually might go back tomorrow, cuz I can't wait to try something else!"
"You know what you're getting when you go to the Italian oven unless... you don't. They have the best fried Zucchini ever. It comes with a horseradish sauce but get marinara also. Together it's amazing. The garlic bread(pizza style) is great as is the tomato bread and the mushroom bread. The pastas are "decent to good" but the star of the show is everything they cook in the wood fired brick oven. Pizza, Strombolis, and Calzones. They are very delicious. The ambience is dated but that's the way it's always been there. Butcher block paper covering table cloths but you don't go here for the luxurious decor, you go for inexpensive delicious Italian eats."
"Classic Italian Oven with the familiar interior. May have been a little short staffed and they had folks waiting. We lucked out and got there early. Food was good and service was excellent. We enjoy to seek out this old Pittsburgh classic in some out of the way places. Go to Fallingwater and hit Connelsville on your way back and get some fried zucchini!"
"Restrooms are discussing especially the women's (per my wife) my tea tase moldy because of course they don't fresh brew the sweet tea and don't clean the drink lines. Wife's pasta wasn't as good as the somerset location and my Stromboli didn't taste as good. Lesson learned go the the restroom at Sheetz before coming or take the time to drive to the Somerset location. They need to send someone down here to teach them how to cook."
"The food is absolutely amazing! I had a 12oz NY strip and it was cooked to perfection. The bread is fresh and the mashed potatoes were perfect. We can't wait to return."
