His dedication to medical education led him to serve as an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Brown University from 2002 to 2006, where he was awarded the Dean’s Teaching Excellence Award. Additionally, he held the roles of Staff Physician for Rhode Island Hospital and Director of Endoscopy for the Providence Veteran’s Administration.
In January 2006, Dr. Eid joined Gastrointestinal Specialists, Inc. (GSI), choosing St. Francis Hospital as the primary setting for his flourishing practice. Known for his compassionate care and clinical expertise, Dr. Eid has built a reputation for excellence in the field of gastroenterology.
Outside of his professional life, Dr. Eid is a family man. He and his wife, Laura, are proud parents of two children. In his leisure time, he enjoys cycling and sailing, often spending quality time with his family.

Dr Eid was so personal and kind and very helpful and spent a lot of time with me talking about my illness, Gastropearesis that I had surgery for after being diagnosed in his office by a terrible nurse practitioner, who just left me hanging with a terrible disease diagnosis.
