"I had a terrible experience with JCPenney Optical. The glasses I purchased from them did not fit properly at all. They would constantly fall off my face, which was incredibly frustrating. I had to make multiple trips back to the store, at least four times, just to have them refitted. To make matters worse, the solution they provided was absurd. They actually suggested that I put a rubber band on the arm of the glasses to keep them from falling off. Seriously? This is not a solution anyone should have to resort to when purchasing expensive eyewear. What's even more disappointing is that when I initially tried the glasses on in the store, they fit perfectly fine. However, after they repeatedly melted and dried out the plastic while attempting to refit them, the frames became frail and easily bent. This rendered the glasses practically useless."

"The doctor was super nice and thorough - I got in and out pretty quickly! Kim spent time helping me pick out the right frames as well. Overall an excellent experience and I'm happy with the glasses I purchased. Will visit again!"

"I recently went in for an eye exam at the JCPenney optical department in Boardman Ohio. I had a quick but thorough exam from Dr. B. He was very kind, helpful, and knowledgeable. Once I was done, he sent me out to his optician, Kim, who is also the manager of the department. She spent time with me helping me pick the right pair of glasses. I don’t feel comfortable in glasses because I don’t feel like I look good in glasses. But Kim really changed my mind. She spent time with me, trying on different kinds shapes and styles of glasses as well as helping me pick what features I wanted on my lenses. When we were all done, I left there feeling happy and beautiful. She was the nicest, most knowledgeable and professional person I’ve ever met in her field. I would highly recommend Kim’s optical department at JCPenney for anyone’s eyeglass needs"

"My experience with JC Penny Optical Is the worst that I have encountered. I have now been there twice just to get one pair of glasses. After my first exam I handed my prescription to a man that Steamrolled through my order. Never asking any questions as to what I wanted. When my glasses FINALLY did arrive I could not get a clear focus. I was told to wear them for a week and then come back. Came back and had eyes re-examined. The Dr rushed me through and was very rude and argumentative with me. In fact he was just nasty. So now I will have to wait AGAIN for another pair. In the meantime I have NO glasses. I must wear my old broken ones.This is now over a month and I am not happy. I am considering calling my credit card company and disputing the charge. BAD SERVICE/BAD DR."

"Kim the manager is the absolute best!! I came in for one pair and left with THREE! She made sure that every single need that I had was met and exceeded! I paid less for three pairs than I did for ONE pair somewhere else!! You can tell that Kim knows her stuff! I just picked up my new glasses, and I can now see better than ever! Even though they were busy, she took the time with me and made me feel welcomed and valued. I’ll never go anywhere else! Customer for life! Thanks again Kim!"
