"Took a medium bag of donations over and didn’t know where to put it as it was a mix of donations. The guy was inside and I said excuse me, he came out and before I could explain he yelled at me saying you have to do it yourself, read the signs and went back in. Very rude! And not the first time. There are some people that are so very nice and helpful with a smile, but the others are actually mean and rude! Have to find another place to donate if it doesn’t change. I’m sure that some churches or organizations will take them. I try to be nice and happy to someone who is helping me and i did not deserve that kind of treatment. As I said before, not the first time this has happened! You never know who you will be up against when you drive up. These days it’s kind of scary."
"Bought a desk! Everyone was so helpful. The guys who loaded it into my car were super!"
"Well don't wast your time donating any at this place. Hade really good furniture to give ( we aren't accepting any ) 9 separate times of a coarse of two years ."
"This is my absolute favorite thrift store. I come at least once or twice a week. I was thrilled when I learned that they were going to be open on Sundays. I love the staff. They are all very kind and extremely helpful. It’s fun to joke around with them. The store is extremely clean and organized. They are always putting out new items when I am there. So much better than Goodwill. The variety of items that I’ve been able to find has been amazing. The only thing I wish is that the people who are pricing the items would be a little more considerate as to where they put the price stickers. Most of the time it is easy to remove the stickers from glassware, but on several occasions when I had to remove a sticker from a wooden item, some of the paint has come off with the sticker. That is not ideal as I am a reseller. Overall, this is the absolute best secondhand store in Pittsburgh. A lot of love goes into stocking these shelves."
"As other reviewers have mentioned, the biggest issue here is with the behavior of some of the staff. Some of the workers here (like the donation center guys) are great, but others absolutely are not. The workers are often yelling, chastising shoppers, and being generally unfriendly. For example, I was once scolded like a child here for putting a piece of glassware back on the shelf in the “wrong” part of the glassware section. Other reviewers here have similar stories. There’s a lot of inventory (generally priced high, like packages of new undergarments for $7 and used jackets for around $10, but with good sales available on some items) and the store is clean, but a lot of the staff really make it an unfriendly place to visit."
