"The zoo is very nice and fun. Of course letting and feeding the kangaroos is the highlight, but there are a lot of other things to do. You can walk in a cage full of birds who will land on you. There is a love demonstration of sheep herding as well as an animal show. The cave tour is also interesting."
"We had a lot of fun. Golf carts are available for rent, it is a good bit of walking so I’d recommend renting one. The cave tour guide was fantastic, friendly, funny and very knowledgeable, tour is included in ticket price. They have two gift shops with some nice items. You can purchase separate gem mining. We watched the sheep Herding show, and there are some other shows available (included with ticket price). Kangaroos can be fed for as low as $1 you can spend more if you want a larger cup of feed, cash or purchase tickets in gift shop with a card. You can also feed the lories for $1 per person, also cash or purchase tickets in the gift shop. Highly recommend both experiences we did them both more than once. Very organized, clean and fun for the whole family. Well worth the trip. Military discount is available on ticket prices."
"My son and I loved everything about this place. There were so many cool animals to see and interact with. We spent half the day here and participated in everything they had - animal feedings (kangaroos, emus, goats, mini horses, lorikeets), sheep herding demonstration where we also pet horses and donkeys, cave tour, and an animal show where we got to touch a snake, bird and turtle. They also had at least 6 friendly collie dogs roaming around the property that we petted and played fetch with. Our favorite of course were the kangaroos. We loved petting and feeding them and seeing the babies in the mommas pouches - there were 6! The cave tour was really neat, with about 140 steps and a cave pool. Tour guide was knowledgeable. We did get a golf cart which was fun and worth the price, especially since it was 90+ degrees the day we went and it’s a good amount of walking. The gift shop was awesome. The cafe had lots of lunch/snack/drink options. Staff were friendly. I have no complaints. It was an incredible experience we will never forget and we plan to go back!"
"I have mixed reviews about this place. There really aren't too many animals for the pricing of this place which is why I rated it 4 stars and not 5. Also, I felt like I had no choice but to rent a golf cart with the layout of the zoo and how hilly the paths were just to get to the first animal, especially with 3 younger children. They loved the golf cart and it was amazing to use as refuge from the rain and easier to get to each place. So the pricing seemed over the top including a golf cart. However, the cave tour that is included was a really neat one. We actually almost enjoyed it more than mammoth cave. So that was worth it and personally to me, petting the kangaroos and emus was worth it as well. The feed was a little pricey but once again, if you have ever wanted a close up encounter with kangaroos and emus then this part alone was worth it. They also have animal shows that we did not get to enjoy due to the rain that possibly would have also made it worth it. The little gift shop also has delicious fudge that we thoroughly enjoyed. Overall, if you're OK with spending the extra money for a few cool encounters then I highly recommend this place. If you're looking for a full zoo experience of many animals this wouldn't be the place."
