From April to October, we invite you to book one of our unforgettable Animal Encounters. Get up close and personal with sloths, capybaras, penguins, rhinos, and even enjoy breakfast with our giraffes. For an even more exclusive experience, consider becoming our VIP Keeper for a Day! These interactive and educational experiences allow guests to go behind the scenes with our expert keepers to learn about and meet our incredible ambassador animals. Across the road from Animal Adventure Park, you can explore our sister facility, The Preserve, home to hundreds of animals. Animal Adventure Park is federally licensed by the USDA, ensuring that our animals, their care, and our facilities meet the highest standards of all USDA licensed zoos and aquariums in the United States. We are also licensed by the NYS Department of Environmental Conservation and NYS Agriculture & Markets. Many of our animal ambassadors come from rescue situations and surrenders, and our staff is always eager to share their unique stories with you.
We are proud participants in the Species Survival Plan (SSP), overseen by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums. The SSP focuses on maintaining a healthy and self-sustaining captive population that is both genetically diverse and demographically stable. We are honored to contribute to this vital conservation effort.
In December 2021, Animal Adventure Park earned accreditation from the Zoological Association of America (ZAA), a non-profit organization dedicated to responsible wildlife management, conservation, and education. The ZAA upholds the highest professional standards in animal welfare, safety, and ethics.
Animal Adventure Park is also a proud partner and supporter of the Cheetah Conservation Fund (CCF), the global leader in cheetah research and conservation. "Had a Penguin "Adventure" for my Son and was very happy with the experience. Mikayla was very knowledgeable, friendly, and professional. Definitely lucky they have her. The experience was well worth it as was the zoo. Highlight was definitely her having penguins use colors my son picked walk over a canvas making a "painting"for him. Went above and beyond especially since I forgot the painting picture included she came to find us. Great place and highly recommend the penguin experience."
"This is a nice zoo, With lots of various types of animals (Some you can feed and some you can get close to). Definitely do not touch the giraffes, because they don't like it (and it is part of the rules). I was able to pet a few different types of animals (donkey, sheep, goat), but you have to be good with animals and know which ones are friendly and which aren't. Some you can obviously not get close to (bears, tigers, lions, cougars, sloths, various monkeys, etc). Worth the $20 dollars. If you want to feed the animals, the 13 dollar feeding bucket is the way to go. You will have plenty of food to feed most of the animals that are allowed to be fed."
"We did the drive thru Preserve due to some mobility issues and it was terrific! The animals were friendly and greedy for food. Make sure you get lots of buckets (1 per person) to have lots of opportunity to feed the variety of animals. The giraffe encounter was, of course, a highlight. It was really good to see lots of animals and it looked like they were all really well cared for."
"We had a wonderful afternoon at the animal park. The space is very clean. Lots of covered areas with picnic tables and benches throughout the park. Feed for the animals is available to purchase and I'd strongly suggest purchasing one of the options to enhance your visit. Bad news…No outside drinks or food are allowed in the park. Good news... there is a good food service area just outside the gift shop with reasonable prices. Plenty of parking. Knowledgeable staff. You will need to pass through the gift shop entering and leaving the park."
"This place is amazing! It’s great for kids and adults. We have been a couple of times now and have loved it every time. The keepers and staff are very nice and knowledgeable. Shout out to Debbie who was working in Preserve at the giraffe feeding deck. She was so kind and sweet. My 2 yr old daughter loved her. With her help and kindness my daughter was brave enough to feed the giraffe. Overall it made today’s experience one we will never forget so thank you Debbie so very much!"
