Under normal conditions, veins carry blood away from the extremities back toward the heart, aided by valves that ensure proper blood flow direction. When these valves are damaged, gravity causes blood to flow backward, leading to congestion and pooling in the veins of the legs, ankles, and feet. This increased venous pressure can cause veins to stretch and expand, forming visible varicose veins and smaller spider veins. If left untreated, complications such as swelling, skin changes, and ulceration may develop.Symptoms:

Symptoms of venous disease can include pain, burning, cramping, heaviness, itching, and swelling. Not all diseased veins are visible on the skin's surface, making a detailed ultrasound examination essential for proper diagnosis. - Endovenous Laser Ablation (EVLA): A minimally invasive method using laser energy to shrink and collapse abnormal varicose veins. Blood flow is rerouted to normal veins within the leg.

- Sclerotherapy: Involves injecting a solution into veins, causing irritation and closure. The body reabsorbs these veins over time.

- Microphlebectomy: A minimally invasive technique for removing varicose veins through a puncture incision, resulting in immediate results with little or no scarring.

- Ambulatory Phlebectomy: A surgical method for removing superficial veins through small incisions, typically done as an outpatient procedure.

- Surface Laser/Light Source Treatment: Utilizes a light beam to target and treat spider or thread veins, commonly not covered by insurance.
