Dr. Leonard P. Berenholz is a highly respected otologic surgeon who has been a vital member of the Lippy Group since 2003. Located at 3893 E Market St #2 in Warren, OH, Dr. Berenholz specializes in otologic surgery, with a particular focus on chronic ear surgery. His extensive experience includes the reconstruction of eardrums and middle ear bones, as well as the surgical management of cholesteatoma. Over the years, Dr. Berenholz has performed several thousand middle ear reconstructions, including stapedectomy.

In addition to his surgical expertise, Dr. Berenholz treats Meniere’s disease patients medically and performs ear injections to alleviate symptoms when necessary. In severe cases, he may also operate to control dizziness. Originally from Philadelphia, Dr. Berenholz received his medical, education, surgical, and otolaryngology training in the city from 1979 to 1988. From 1977 until 1996, he served on staff at several hospitals in Philadelphia, including the Einstein Medical Center, a level 1 trauma center. He was also an instructor at Jefferson University Hospital, where he was active in training residents. In 2001, Dr. Berenholz was appointed Assistant Professor at Tel Aviv University of Medicine. From 1999 until 2003, he directed otologic surgery at a large hospital in Israel.

Throughout his career, Dr. Berenholz has contributed numerous original research articles to the medical literature and has collaborated with Dr. Lippy in researching otosclerosis and techniques of stapedectomy.
