"The other reviews are spot on - Comparti was one of the BEST decisions we made for our non-wedding wedding event! We ended up doing a 2 year belated wedding reception on a Williamsburg rooftop. We did a floating reception with Comparti which included a raw bar and passed small format canapes during cocktail hour, and then large format canapes, stations, and passed small plates for the main dinner, plus dessert and coffee. Melissa was so, so helpful throughout the planning process. We had somewhat of a vision, but the Comparti team figured out how to make it all work with the venue layout in mind, staffing, event flow, food temperatures, etc. We really trusted them to execute and it was perfect. The food on the night of was AS GOOD as the tasting, and our guests LOVED it. We got so many complements and now our friends are asking us for details to use Comparti for their own events. Beyond the food being inventive and delicious, the staff was amazing. We had a lot of food being passed, and our biggest fear was plates not making it to all the guests. When one guest asked for a short rib, a server made it his mission to get her a short rib plate. They went above and beyond from the moment we booked our tasting to the very last churro donut served. The menu was unique but approachable, friendly for dietary restrictions, and served beautifully and thoughtfully. Big thanks to the whole Comparti team for pulling it all off."

"I chose Comparti before I proposed to my now-wife. It’s probably not the best order of operations, but I knew from the start that the food needed to be spectacular. I frequent both of their restaurants - Comodo and Colonia Verde - so I had a POV about their flavor profile, presentation, and range. Melissa from Comparti is phenomenal. It’s like she was our original wedding planner guiding us at a high level to get a day of coordinator, consider wedding insurance, and work through timing. Every single guest raved about the food and said it was the best wedding food they ever had. We had everything from jackfruit slaw (don’t knock it until you try it) to miso cod to steak & potatoes to mushroom ragu (I’m still dreaming about it). For background, the individuals who attended our wedding came from diverse backgrounds but were primarily Southern, Haitian, Caribbean, Latino, and Asian. These types of folks demand flavorful food, vibrant colors, and versatility. My friend from France said it was the best wedding food he’d ever had and raved about the wines. The cocktails, mocktails, and wines were excellent. The guests also raved about the wine selection. We also had things for people that were gluten-free and vegetarian. Having a family-style meal meant we didn’t have to keep track of dietary restrictions, and everyone could try everything. The food was just as phenomenal on the wedding day as during our tasting. If you’re planning a wedding for a diverse group of people with a diverse range of food requirements (gluten-free, vegetarian, vegan), I highly recommend Comparti. I’d even go as far as to say the wedding menu is better than their restaurant menu, which I can’t get unless I go to a wedding their catering, or another tasting. With that said, if you need me to go to a tasting with you or even your wedding, I’m in."
