"do not go to this place!!! extremely unprofessional. They overdosed me on a medication sending me to the emergency room!! They also do not throughly check patients for drugs while i was under thier care MULTIPLE patients have drugs and sneak them in on smoke breaks and get high in thier rooms. None of the “techs” have any medical history at all they don’t know what they are doing and most of the females techs flirt with the male patients and allow the men to do whatever they want. if you are serious about getting help this is not the place to go. they do not take recovery seriously and they medicate their patients into zombies. seriously if i could give them 0 stars i would i am still recovering from damages caused by this facility that i did not struggle with until i was under thier care!! Absolutely horrible facility"
"Sarah gave one of the men stuff for his hair and told him to put it in my bedroom and then went to my boyfriend and told him I had men in my room behind his back and that he can do better than me. We decided to leave and when we were leaving I heard her tell him to come back without me and she was also letting him go into the game room and wouldn’t stop hugging him. SUPER INAPPROPRIATE behavior coming from a NURSE. I also am missing MULTIPLE items of clothing AND my ID. Didn’t think I’d have to hear a grown adult telling my boyfriend he deserves better than me while trying to become sober, y’all need to screen people better before hiring them."
"This was the second time my husband and myself had been here. The first time when tess was still there it was a great experience they seems to actually care and get us help that we needed. This last time about two weeks ago we went and it was nothing like the first time. We never got to talk to a counselor, my husband was very sick and they pretty much just left him in there to suffer fr. They kept threatening to take him downstairs to get an IV but they never did which they most definitely should have. I will never go back here again. I strongly believe if he stayed there any longer something very bad would have happened to him. The first three days of him being home he literally didn't move from the couch he didn't talk was freezing cold it was a horrible experience."
"My stays at Recovery Works have been as good an experience possible in a detox facility. As you may know the detoxification process is not fun, but multiple staff members, especially Tess, made my stay as comfortable as possible! Of all the times I've been through the program I have never left AMA and a big part of that is due to the staff. I want to give Tess credit because she made me feel at home; her relateability, sympathy and use of humor have contributed to the fact I'm still clean 4 months later! I can't believe I was laughing and having a good time in detox because of her. I could actually relate to the techs there, and during my most recent 8 day stay in February, Jen (nurse) was amazing as well. I owe my life and sobriety to this place and the staff! I can't say enough good things. I don't miss the food but I've called and tried to let the staff know how grateful I truly am for their kindness, compassion and understanding they have of the disease I suffer from. We had community cigarettes and got to go outside 4x a day to smoke, a smart TV in each room, (With YouTube!!!) and groups everyday as well as 1-on-1 sessions with our counselor and case manager. I was able to watch movies in bed, as well as the game room and play ping-pong when I felt up to it. The med line moves a bit slow at night but the nurses are truly doing their best. I appreciated the NP Vince working with me and helping motivate me to stay clean. I wouldn't be working a program today without their help! Thanks so much! You guys saved my life! Definitely recommend detoxing here!"
"This isnt a fancy detox but what makes this place so great is the staff. In particular I'd like to mention Tess, the lead Tech. Without her this place would probably fall apart. She would go out of her way to speak to the patients. I remember having a panic attack and she had just gotten off work but stayed an extra 45 minutes just to make sure I was ok. And this is after juggling ten tasks at once. So I'm definitely very grateful to her. The nursing staff was also very kind, patient and always helpful."
