"The experience I had here was absolutely dreadful. For one this place is not flexible and the most availability they have is to be scheduled a month in advance. They promised me a chance to speak to a psychiatrist and they promised weekly sessions. It's been 3 months and I haven't met a therapist yet nor was I diagnosed like I was hoping. The therapist I have spoken to was extremely rude. He spoke through 90% of my first two sessions and often interrupted me and spoke over me as though I was a child. He suggested I get rid off a family pet I've had for 6+ years and even told me because I have a full time job I wouldn't need therapy. I asked to swap therapists after explaining why they let me speak through his supervisor. The supervisor was very rude and didnt let me continue explaining why I wanted to cut ties. She let me swap to another therapist a month later to speak to them. In that time frame I almost attempted to kill myself, quit my job, and cut ties with people close to me. I was exhausted from trying to keep myself together and was clinging to my next therapy appointment. I received a call from a very rude receptionist a few days before the appointment I was clinging to saying they made a mistake and overlapped my appointment with another one. When I went to reschedule the lady was extremely rude and never verified that the appointment was okay. She was silent on her line and was unresponsive until she decided to hang up. I ended up calling back twice mad about the entire ordeal to cancel my services. The second call resulted in a NASTY lady answering the phone. They ended up transferring my call around until they let me leave a voicemail. You cannot treat people like this in this line of work. My mental health has gotten worse since the beginning of the new year. All this has done is made me feel worse. I also would have callen sooner for help but they do not care if you have a job or not. In fact they treat you worse if you are working fulltime."
"After having a personal emergency I was referred by the local PD to Coleman. Everyone was friendly when I got there, and I did the initial assessment with a lovely gentleman whose name I forget. After that I went to get examined at UH, which took just over an hour. They learned I did not have insurance, and after that my care completely changed. When I got back I was told to wait in a small room and that they would be back with paperwork and brochures. No one returned. After waiting in a freezing room alone for about an hour I went to the lobby to warm up. After another hour or so, I had to buy two bags of chips out of the vending machine because I was so hungry and had been told I couldn’t leave. I asked if I could get an update on the process and was told they would find out, but I was not given an update. Everyone but two people left for the day, and they turned off half the lights on the waiting room while I was still sitting there alone. I asked for another update and I was told to be patient, that it was a process. So I waited while the two ladies in the back joked and laughed and ignored me. I still was alone in the waiting room. My aunt came after a long while and asked for an update, and we were once again told they would find out. No one came back. After SIX HOURS of waiting, I personally called the facility that I was waiting for a response from, was transferred to intake and was told “oh well we haven’t processed the request because we have no beds.” I walked into the office and updated THEM on the fact they didn’t have a place for me. I was told they had no knowledge of that, that they were never told. I believe they actually never checked. At this point I was not only a danger to myself, but hungry, tired and angry. I got my things ready to leave and was told I couldn’t and that they would call the police, then let me walk out the door. No one stopped me, no police ever came. This was after 6 hours of waiting, 4 of it by myself with suicidal thoughts. The staff made me feel horrible and dismissed, like I was a nuisance. I will never recommend this facility, nor will I ever willingly go back. This facility and it’s very indifferent treatment failed me miserably."
"Don't try to get your complete medical history. You'll be leaving messages with no call back, or what they do send you is not complete. We've been trying for (literally) years to get our records from Dr. Pacer, a pediatric psychiatrist. Don't let your child be a guinea pig for medications, it could be tragic."
"Should be false advertising to put "Professional" in their name. Went in for initial appointment. They took insurance with no issues. Set my first counseling session for today at 11am. Had requested an evening appointment to avoid missing work (I have a job with time parameters for projects). They explained that the first appointment is only available during the day. At that time I had stated that the reason I came to them in the first place was that the practice I went to previously had a habit of canceling last minute and costing me days of work for no reason. They assured me they don't do that. Day before my appointment (3 weeks after initial visit) they leave me a voicemail saying that they made a mistake and scheduled me with a doctor that didn't take my insurance. When I expressed that I had jumped through a lot of hoops to get time off and I'd like to get in with another doctor at any available time today. They basically said "Sorry about the mistake but we've been really busy." They then asked if I'd like to reschedule. I asked how we could make sure this didn't happen again and why they waited 3 weeks until 5:30 the evening before to call me. The one thing I will say is that they were polite about telling me "too bad"."
"This was a disappointing experience. Been speaking with the employees on the phone about the services offered. Was told I could just walk in. Except I got there and was told there were no appointments available? For 2 days got a different impression on the phone. They actually made me feel like I was bothering them. Mind you the waiting room was completely empty. I finally had the money to get there and was turned away in humiliation. Guess I'll come back Monday? Hopefully they'll be people there on Monday? Uber driver said he had 2 others he picked up saying similar things. What a shame."
