"I was following my consumer from her previous agency she was with to HomeAides. I, the consumer, and two other of her Direct Care Workers were in the room when they sent out a representative for the initial evaluation, and to answer our questions. Since all three of us had prior experience in Home Health Care, and with this specific consumer directly, we expressed that we would like to start out a little more than $14 an hour. I was making $14.50. I don't know what the other two were making. However, we inquired about starting out at a little bit more. I would have been fine with a fifty cent pay cut. However, this lady strongly made us believe we had a good chance of getting more. A few days went by and I had a few hours free to go in for their onboarding process. A few hours of filling out tax forms and 16 few minutes videos with a short quiz after each, I was done. Before I left I inquired about the pay, and told this new lady what the other lady said. She said, "Yea, she had no right to say that, and I talked to her about it." Ok. That's cool that you talked to her about it, but I can't afford to take more than a 50 cent pay cut. The fact is they lied to all three of the Direct Care Workers, and the consumer. This wouldn't irritate me as much if I didn't have this happen to me with another Home Health Care Agency. The fact is that once an employer lies to you, then the relationship is severed and you know how much they (don't) respect their employees. I hate being lied to and will be going in ASAP to quit."

"In the beginning was great, then all of a sudden my elderly handicapped mother doesn't have any coverage from Friday night until Monday morning. I have to take off work to do their job when promised in beginning she would have the service she needs. So they went against what is said. Beware if you are looking for care for a loved oun!"
