"I was diagnosed with endometrial cancer a few weeks ago and needed a total hysterectomy. I’m a registered nurse, so I’m very aware of care concerns. Worse yet, I historically get incredibly sick to my stomach and vomit after surgery. EVERY time! There are honestly no words to express how thankful I am for the care I received from the the moment I walked in the hospital admission center until I was discharged at PENN STATE HERSHEY SURGERY CENTER. The care was extraordinary! Kristine, my pre-op registered nurse, made my pre-op time more relaxed with her friendly personality and professional care! My anesthesia team of Alpha Kamara-Taylor CRNA and Dr. Budde really listened to my concern about post-op vomiting. They managed my medication so that I wasn’t even nauseated when I woke up in recovery! The post-op unit was incredibly kind and caring too! They took a team approach to my care, so I didn’t have to wait for “my nurse.” Someone was always happy to see what I needed. I was able to walk out of the hospital about 8 hours after my surgery started! No one wants cancer - or surgery - but if you find yourself in need, I cannot imagine better care than what I received at PENN STATE HERSHEY SURGERY CENTER."

From mistreatment, to disorganized communication, this place has been nothing but a nightmare to me and my family. If you're a parent, please, I implore you to go to ANY other children's surgery center but here."
