Reviews of Bright Beginnings Early Learning Center
"Should be 0 stars. On abott road. Seemed like a great place at first. Was a little over priced, but my wife and I wanted the best for our child. My Son has been going for about a year now on Abbott, seemed Ok for the first couple weeks. He learned and played with friends. But the school refused to use our diapers that we sent to school with him, and wipes. We told them he has sensitive skin, it reacted different with certain wipes and diapers and would leave red marks. So we supplied like they even asked but staff. but when getting home none of his stuff was used. And he would have the biggest red rash. Looks to seem as if they had been there almost all day and someone didn't change him for hours. And this happened off and on for weeks. We supplied baby cream also. Wich they weren't using half the time. I even have pictures and they are horror to look at for a 1 half year old. He would scream when we would try and clean him after school. I eventually had to go talk to the school staff heads. And told them our problem again for the last time. The older lady was very professional and helped me get to the bottom of it. And they changed staff. That happened off an on for a couple months. They had new staff the next day, and they seemed alot more caring then the last staff. Over the year they changed staff a few more times and they started getting more and more unprofessional. My son has never done anything violent to another child so there reviews the day said. One day I go to Pick my son up, one of his teachers with red hair. Mid 20s maybe. Meets me at the door, and says Elias had an accident. Confused asking what happened, she told me she didn't know what happened, Because my son was injured when the staff before her was watching the kids. He had a pencil mark under his eye, he was stabbed in the face...I asked to see the report, and she told me there wasn't one made. The staff before her didn't make one. I told them I'd be back Monday and I'd like to know wich teacher didn't make a report that our son was stabbed in the face, and we weren't called. She says Ok, as I'm grabbing my sons things, and she goes to the front office. She asks the lady at front office/ African-American woman, nice lady, tells her not to do anything and not to worry about it. Don't say anything about it till that teacher comes forward, or let the parents figure it out on there own. I have a light step, so She didn't expect me to hear any of that walking around the corner. They where both surprised to see me. Shocked. Teachr with red hair apologized to me 5 times tho, as if she new somthing. I told my wife when we got home and showed her. And she told me that the teacher with red hair, was there this morning when she dropped him off for school. So she lied to me. And months later they still can't tell us who it was that didn't call or leave a report. Staff was switched again. And they hired two Young native girls with little to no experience. And all of a sudden there are reports of my child doing all these bad things now. They told my wife when I was away for work, that everything has been great. But thn when I get home. go to Pick him up, there is a bunch of bad reviews of my son being bad, being bad with another child. And dates back to a month before?? Today is one my sons last days at that school, because they raised the price for the 3rd time and was over $1600 a month. Oh and forgot to mention all through out the year they kept taking us off our daycare assistance saying we didn't qualify. But even tho the day care assistance agents tell us we are. So they kept charging us without assistance and they had us backed up thousands of dollars since we started that school. I finally had enough becuase they raised the price on Christmas and and charged couple times ahead. Did tht 2 times. So today my wife picks our son up, neither of us received a call or text. And there was no review made of what happened. But the native girl told my wife that he just ran into the doorknob right before. But no doorknob is 2ft off the floor at infints height."
"My daughter absolutely loves Bright Beginnings! We were nervous about transitioning her from home day care to an actual facility, but they exceed our expectations! I get updates and pictures on my daughter daily! My daughter had a hard time adjusting at first, but the staff was always welcoming and patient with her. The teachers are all amazing and I always feel comfortable dropping my daughter off each day! My daughter learns so much everyday and now is more vocal! I cannot say enough great things about Bright Beginnings and I will always recommend them!"
"Went in for a tour of the baby room called ahead because they said we could drop in anytime they were open to do tour. We were ignored for a good 5 mins upon arrival at the front desk. The lady who scheduled tour with had already clocked out and had somebody else do tour. When asked about breast milk storage we were told we had to prepare thawed bottles 4-5 depending on how much baby eats and we could not bring in frozen because “it was to difficult for the staff to deal with.” Will not be sending our child there"
"This review is for the Jewel Lake location (which unfortunately recently closed). Our daughter has been attending since February in the infant classroom. We have loved our experience with BB! Everyone, her teachers and the administrators, have all been wonderful. They truly care about the kids and make an effort to get to know all of the children and families that come to the center. The classrooms are colorful, bright, and cheerful. We felt so confident in the care our daughter received everyday. We’re disappointed JL had to close due to staffing and will be attending another location moving forward, but if the JL location ever opens again we will be first in line!"
"Bright beginnings Abbott has been really good to my baby, she has some special feeding needs and they have done what they could to modify their approach to support her. The place is clean, the food is healthy & has great variety and the teachers and staff are caring with low turnover. Some difficulties: communication with changes to rooms and teachers was abrupt and handoff of special needs to new teacher was lacking. And one short notice (2wks) teacher workshop closure last year was challenging. Staff were very receptive to feedback. Overall would highly recommend"
