"Always a great experience! The doctors always take their time to explain and answer any of my questions. My dogs are never in a hurry to leave which speaks volumes! Love this vet hospital."
"We always get the BEST care here. The doctors are kind and don't push for unnecessary tests or treatment. The prices are honestly some of the most reasonable in Fairbanks. And the staff are always so sweet with my pets. 10/10!"
"Took our two cats there for establishing visits. One of our cats has a history of ear infections, and we wanted his ears to be looked at since he was shaking his head more. They looked and said they were fine. They weren’t. Two week later, we noticed he was scratching and shaking his head more and, after a visit to another clinic, his ears were found to be anything but fine. They don’t get that way in two weeks. Even the vet at Mt. McKinley was appalled that Golden Heart could look at my cat’s ears and think they were fine. With our other cat, they didn’t even weigh her and the whole visit felt rushed like they couldn’t get us out the door fast enough. They gave her the yearly vaccines and put her back in her carrier without even a glance at her teeth, ears, or hearing her heart/lungs. Avoid this clinic. It was a simple ear infection, but it makes me think they’ll miss bigger issues, especially since they spent, at most 1 minute on each of our cats. We spent more time at the receptionist desk getting checked out than in the exam room. The receptionist was lovely, though. So no complaints about them. However, the way the vets and techs handled us like inconveniences was enough to never go back."
"New vet for dogs since old vet is closing. Wonderful folks! My two older dogs felt very comfortable and were kept at ease with vet and staff. They were anxious going in, especially my skiddish one, but by end of visit, he was feeling great and didn't want to leave. When he was first adopted he snapped if your face got too close to his. He was comfortable enough that this didn't happen. Great experience!"
"I went there for the first time on Tuesday. My dog was very over excited and being loud, and the front desk staff were very kind and understanding. We had to wait a bit for our appointment, but as soon as we were taken back, the vet and the tech wasted no time getting everything done and the appointment was 10 minutes tops, quick and painless. Today, my dog was throwing up and had an upset tummy, but I was trying to avoid bringing him back in so soon, but I was able to speak with a vet tech over the phone instead of trying to be convinced to come in and spend more money. I think it's safe to say that this will now be my favorite go-to clinic for all my dog's needs!"
