"call Mat Valley Milling back in September to have 6 cords of wood delivered. they stated that it would be delivered next month. I called them again in November the lady on the phone seemed to have an attitude, she finally indicated it would be delivered next week. after calling the several times in December, in which they never answered or returned my call. I contacted Bond Brothers logging they delivered two truck loads of 40ty foot logs a week after I contacted them. they finally called today asking if I still wanted the wood delivered. I gave them my reply it wasn't a nice one, just saying. if I were to wait for Mat Valley Milling we would freeze."
"Super pleased with the product we received. A mixture of spruce and birch is the perfect combo for winter woodstove heat."
"Stay as far away from this company as possible. I ordered two cords of wood from them with the expectation that it would be seasoned and ready to burn. They never mentioned it not being seasoned. They delivered it and it is testing above 40% water. I called to voice my complaints about this and they told me I was informed of it being wet and that it is totally safe to burn wet wood. Neither of those two statements are true. Do not order wood from them unless you want it to take two months to show up and be cut the day you bought it."
"Called about wood this summer and asked if it was seasoned and ready to burn. I called them because they are an established business and I am tired of buying wood from individuals who say it has been seasoned and is dry, only to get wet wood that is worthless for a year. Their wood isn't seasoned either, but I was told that they kiln-dry wood in the fall. I ordered 2 cords from their first batch that was delivered today. I wasn't told that the kiln-dried is $100 more so I was shocked at the $770 price tag. I had been told $285 for a cord of birch. If I had been told I would paid that price, but would have only ordered one cord. Now here is my real issue. Their customer service lady is clueless! When I said that she didn't tell me it was $100 extra. Her reply was that she tells everyone. That's all well and good, but she DID NOT tell me. Which is what I told her. Rather than say "I'm really sorry, I normally tell everyone that, I'm so sorry if I forgot with you," she proceeded to argue with me on the phone, basically implying that I'm a liar. Here's a tip ya'all - don't argue with your customers. They are your livelihood and word of mouth goes a long way. Customer service makes or breaks a person's experience and determines whether they will give you their money again. And when there is an issue, that is the real test of whether you value someone's business, that's when you either shine and win someone for life, or in your case - piss someone off so much they hang up on you so you don't hear the expletives that are soon to start spilling from their mouth. Which means you lost an opportunity to make a lifelong customer. And from your response to another review, it is obvious that arguing and excuses are your norm. People (you) do make mistakes. Just say sorry, smooth the waters, and keep a customer rather than make an enemy."
"They're great to deal with! I bought all the lumber for my pole barn from Carl and he was very helpful and prompt as usual. I like dealing with them, and they have great prices. I highly recommend using them for your lumber and firewood needs!"
