"If I could review Walgreens Pharmacies as a whole, I would. I wish I had the time to sit on hold all day, but I just don't! This happens nearly every time I call this location, and at most other locations no one actually ever answers the calls. Situation: I wait on hold for anywhere from 10-30 minutes, finally get an answer, get put BACK on hold for the pharmacist, and after 10 more minutes the call drops. I call back, and the whole cycle repeats. So far today, I have called 5 times back to back because the call keeps getting disconnected. I'm a medical assistant, trying to call in a refill for a patient, and for this particular medicine I am required to speak with the pharmacist directly. I understand understaffing issues, because my clinic is having the same problem... but I can only imagine how frustrating it is for our patients if this is the standard for phone etiquette."
"Customer service is not a thing here really at the Huffman location. I went in to the pharmacy to grab an OTC item, that required ID. I provided my government issued, military ID card. The young man behind the counter said I had to have a state issued ID and it "was state law" to to provide an ID that could be scanned (it isn't by the way). I left empty handed and drove to the pharmacy in Girdwood (I was heading south), where I made the same purchase on the same item, using the same military ID with no issue. The young man there just wrote my information down. So, if you are headed south, just know you can stop in Girdwood and get better customer service from a "mom and pop" store, vs a corporate giant like Walgreens, from staff that doesn't know the law and will just treat you like faceless, walking, ATM"
"Staff welcomed me as soon as I entered the store. I was surprised by the selection of items you can purchase from Walgreens. I thought they're just a place for medications and other things related to medicines. Stop by and see what they have to offer. Their prices on items are cheaper than other retailers. They also participate in a rewards program."
"No one ever picks up the phone at the pharmacy. They once filled a script for an anabiotic that wasn’t the right one due to their reading comprehension error, and then said it would take 24 hours to fill it for the right one even though they had it in stock when I was standing at the counter. This place is Yikes. But the rest of the Walgreens has a wide selection of gummy candy so that’s a plus. I wish their pharmacy functioned but I think the staff are overworked and understaffed."
"The pharmacy will charge you full price and not even fill your prescription. NEVER LEAVE WITHOUT OPENING YOUR BAG AND CHECKING THAT YOUR PRESCRIPTION IS ACTUALLY FILLED. THEYLL TAKE 8 HOURS AND NOT GIVE YOU WHAT YOU PAID FOR"
