"Some friends of mine ended up renting this pool for their son's birthday party. While the price wasn't that bad it only allowed them to swim for an hour and then only allowed them 1 hour to eat cake in food at the end. I really wished that they would have been able to swim longer. The kids really seem to have a lot of energy still and the typical open swim I believe is about 2 hours. I would have definitely done it a bit differently. I would have wanted to rent out the pool for 2 hours and then have an hour afterwards to do food and presents. I also didn't care for the way the staff explained the rules. It seems to me like he didn't keep the attention of the kids and he also didn't make it super clear the requirements for being able to swim in the deep end without an adult. I wasn't even clear on it and I am an adult so it would have been nice to understand exactly what they were required to do in order to swim in the deep end by themselves. The vending machines were outrageously expensive. You literally couldn't get anything under $2. Even the bottles of water were over $2. Which I believe is absolutely outrageous. Same with snacks. I believe I only found two or three things that were under $2. I wasn't pleased with that especially seeing how this is the place where families go for open swim to make memories of their time together. Knowing that they can't even buy a bottle of water or a snack on the way out for less than $2 is just disappointing. I strongly suggest that they have the reduced the prices of the vending machine snacks and they extend the time for swimming on their birthday parties. Even if you had to increase the cost on the birthday parties for that extra hour I feel like they would have more satisfied customers."
"Friendly staff and a cost effective place to have a Birthday party in the valley! Well kept and clean for an older building."
"The pool was a decent size but if you are not an adult you have to take a swim test it is pretty hard for me because I suck at swimming but I passed. They also have a nice diving board where you jump into 12 ft water. Most of their hours for free swimming are later because they have a school to run."
"We were at wasilla high for a football game and didnt see the swim team, but im sure if there swim team is anything like their football team, its pretty awesome. All three fooball teams put up such a huge fight! The school is amazing as well. Huge and great open facilities, lots of extremely friendly people as well."
"Love the open swim on Saturdays from 1:30 till 3:00 pm my kids love to go swimming and meet up with their friends there and it is a fun family activity that we all get to do together. We will be returning to have my daughter's birthday at the pool. The locker rooms are very clean and the staff is very courteous. I will be returning again and again with my family."
