"Our Princess Cruise (Voyage of the Glaciers - Vancouver to Whittier) cruised Glacier Bay. We MADE SURE that Glacier Bay was part of our itinerary (not every Alaska cruise goes through Glacier Bay). It is a site that you DO NOT WANT TO MISS. Words do not do it justice. Pictures don’t do it justice. Park Rangers meet your ship in the morning and narrate the scenery throughout the day. We went in mid-August and it was definitely cold (even though our other ports - Ketchikan, Juneau, and Skagway - were warm and comfortable. Be sure to pack layers, gloves, and a rain shell if you plan to view from your balcony or the ship’s deck."
"I was able to see the glacier from a ship at a far distance.. And it seemed like there was hardly any ice at all. I did see some icebergs which were small on top. But as they told us, beneath the water they're about 20 to 30 feet wide. So we couldn't get much closer than we did. perhaps because of the time of the season . I went in August, However, the place was beautiful and quiet as I looked out from my balcony. It was definitely a peaceful evening and the sunset was beautiful."
"Amazing place. I visited this on a cruise ship, even though we spend a whole day here, I still feel everything went over so quickly. I wish I have my own boat so I can enjoy the magnificent scenery for longer."
"Our visit to Glacier Bay National Park on a cruise ship was a once-in-a-lifetime experience. The views were the most breathtaking I've ever seen. It felt like a journey through nature's grandeur, we saw wales, seals and a variety of birds! This is an absolute bucket-list trip for anyone who appreciates the beauty of our planet."
"Glacier Bay National Park is awesome!!! The park rangers were very knowledgeable and we got to see the Grand Glacier. Even a piece of it broke off in front of our ship. Totally worth it!!"
