"Couldn't recommend Xander as your captain enough! Booking a cabin trip for your classmates and yourself is not an easy task, but Xander took a huge weight off. Seriously so patient, flexible, and generous. He helped us bring things on and off the boat, while being incredibly warm and friendly. Also side note: the boat ride was really fun and I saw views that I don't think I'll ever experience again in my life. And of course Finn was a wonderful co-captain as well. 6/5 stars. "I love this water taxi owner! Xander was super nice throughout the whole experience. He was even nice enough to give us a few discounts to fit our budget. The water taxi itself was very nice especially with his super lovely dog. He was on time picking us up and made sure we were okay throughout our triopto Samsing. 10/10 if we have any other water taxi needs we will be using this again! "Captain Xander could possibly be the most interesting and knowledgeable person in Sitka. Aside from being a middle school English teacher, he has a fount of knowledge about Sitka: its geopolitical situation and history, the fishing scene, hiking adventures, and more! We initially had a fishing trip planned but due to the weather he was willing to accommodate us with a tour of the area at a moments notice! We ventured around Sitka Sound and learned a lot about the fishing industry here. We had the best of company with us, as his dog Finnius marveled along with us as we saw salmon jumping about and sea lions chasing their prey along the bay. 10/10 for Captain Xander and his crew (Finnius). Our highlight of visiting Sitka!"

"Captain Xander was great. My friend and I headed to the Fort Rousseau causeway at a very low tide, and he was prepared with two different landing spots and even a canoe on top of the boat in case neither were accessible at such low water. Luckily we didn't have to use it! It was easy to coordinate and on time. Captain Xander also had a bunch of interesting local color about things like the boats in the harbor, sights around Sitka, and more"
