She made sure that our group was taken care of including picking us up at the ship when some of us got stuck in the line trying to get a shuttle to town. She was very knowledgeable and very thoughtful and kind. Our group of 10 would highly recommend Baranof Tours if you are visiting Sitka. They made sure we were back to our ship with plenty of time to spare!"

"We had a great experience with Gretchen and Captain Tad. We were able to do everything, and although it felt a little rushed we were on a time crunch so it was understandable. We did the combo tour, and when we got on the boat Captain Tad warned us that because the sea was a little rough we might not be able to see the whales unless we went further out, but while we were talking about it, we were lucky enough to see one right next to us! Afterwards, he even went out of his way to look for otters for my daughter. We got to the ship on time and had a great time!"

"Hopped off the cruise ship a little later than most and felt we probably missed an opportunity to organise any tours. Then we stumbled across a private bus tour by Baranof Tours taking in the Alaska Raptor Centre, Fortress of the Bear and Sitka National Historical Park. Very reasonably priced too. We left the pick-up point at 14:30 and at the end were driven back to the terminal, which was a nice touch. If you’re as lucky as we were, you might get Christian as your driver. A lovely chap, who lives on a wee island at the town coast line. Having Christian walk and talk us around each site was Gold. We got so much more from Sitka than we had expected. Private bus for us and 3 other couples. It was perfect."
