"This is what Alaska’s all about. Rick runs a purpose-built vessel perfect to show six people Sitka’s best marine life in any weather. We were lucky enough to spend a full day on the boat, and there was ample room in the wheelhouse to keep all our camera gear handy, and quite a bit of storage space to spare in the V-berth. We gave Rick a big wish list, and he made some pretty challenging things happen. It’s a roomy, 32 by 11-foot custom aluminum vessel with a powerful heater and giant, crystal-clear windows. We had an incredible time. We’d go again in a heartbeat."

"We had a quiet private morning tour with the captain as our teenagers slept and we watched for whales and other wildlife. It was a nice time with quite a few whales, sea otters, seals and eagles. He is very knowledgeable about the area, the fishery, the wildlife and history. The cabin was heated for us and snacks available. It was a great time."

"If you're looking for a shore excursion in Sitka, look no further! Captain Rick is premium and we have zero regrets about booking this trip. We saw a momma bear and two cubs, eagles, salmon, a hump back whale up close and beautiful scenery/mountains along the way. Boat is in fantastic condition, very cozy and comfy with a bathroom, and we were offered waters and spindrift. Normally there are also sea otters and sea lions but it was an overcast day so none were out during our trip. Rick is the coolest, kindest, and a local with tons of knowledge. You won't go wrong if you book this! Highly recommend."
