"Dusty kept my RV for over 3 weeks which I did not mind. When I picked it up the day the work was completed (I didn’t wait 2 wks. as his comment claims) it had body damage, & bike rack damage that my insurance needed to cover. HIS INSURANCE DOES NOT COVER VEHICLE DAMAGE WHILE IN HIS LOT OR SHOP. He has video cameras of his bay, lot & street parking, but didn’t find how the damage occurred. My insurance company had to pay for the damages. I had transmission fluid changed by him. He gave it back to me 3 quarts overfilled. Dusty said this was due to his mechanic not taking into acct. old fluid in the lines and torque converter. I requested Motorcraft spark plugs be put in my Ford V10, but they used iridium plugs instead. After I asked for the plugs to be replaced, Dusty specifically told me he’d never put iridium plugs in this engine because they fire too hot. He told me V10 plugs are known to blow out, & the right plugs are VERY important. HE said he has found AC DELCO plugs to be better than Motorcraft for this engine, but Andrea ordered iridium, & DJ installed them without Dusty making sure I got the plugs he recommended to me directly. He did not offer to make it right until I asked for it. He contradicts himself frequently. HE TOLD ME HE HAD A HIGH SCHOOLER remove my generator & gave my vehicle back without inspecting the work. Bare wires were hanging from the generator compartment. When I spoke to Dusty he wanted me to get it back to him asap because he was worried the wiring may start a fire. He had had generator wires start a fire on his rv when he removed his generator & was very concerned the same could happen to me. This is another instance where he let me drive away without checking the work thoroughly before giving it back to me. Before having my intake manifold replaced by Dusty I had him do a compression check as to not put too much money into my engine if, it weren’t in good shape. The Compression came back with flying colors 150/175 on all 10 cylinders. He said the engine would last a long time….400,000 miles (HIS WORDS). He replaced the iridium plugs with the new platinum plugs he originally recommended to me. He was in a big rush that day & couldn’t even take 5 minutes to speak with me. They handed me the keys AND NEVER TEST DROVE IT after replacing the plugs for the 2nd time. He also told me that the intake manifold needed to be tightened down but didn’t take the time to do it at this last appointment. I left town and about 50 miles down the road my vehicle hesitated a bit up an incline. I texted Dusty about it & he didn’t respond to me. I thought it may be the intake manifold needing to be tightened down as he said needed to happen, or maybe my differential. I had the differential fluid checked by Dusty as well & then found it to be leaking from the access plug. Another mechanic cleaned the plug because Dusty left it dirty causing the leaking. When I got to my destination in Arizona I immediately took it to a mechanic & found that THE ENGINE IS SHOT. Fuel washed out the rings on cylinder #9 & compression was only at 50 in this cylinder. The spark plug in this cylinder was also crushed with no gap due to the WRONG PART/intake manifold being put on by Dusty. The replacement engine has cost me $13,000. This whole experience has been VERY stressful, time consuming, & expensive. I also know firsthand I am not the first to have had a bad experience with this mechanic. New info: Dusty replaced my intake manifold with the wrong part because he doesn’t know enough about Ford changes in manifold for different years. The manifold he put on was the wrong one. It left significant gaps on all cylinders for unmetered air to get through, and cause damage to the engine. Also, to respond briefly to his comment. There are many misrepresentations and errors in what he has written. It’s hard to believe these are all unintentional. Dusty, if you read this please know I am asking for my money back plus damages. I’d like to work this out with you if you are willing to dialogue about it, but only in writing."
"Dusty and his crew go above and beyond for their customers. They are incredibly honest about any repairs that need to be made and always take the extra step to explain. Highly recommend, and will continue to use for any and all services!!"
"I'm very skeptical of mechanics and am happy to say that ALL of the works which they have completed for me and my family have been fair, reasonably priced, and work well done. I highly recommend Angry Irish if you are looking for a good family mechanic!"
"We highly recommend this place. We have been taking our vehicles here for the last several years . They have taken great care of our vehicles. Angry Irish Repair has always worked us in when they were too busy. Great people to work with."
"A fantastic shop! I was traveling through the area and inquired if they had time to rebuild my parking brake as I drove with it on for about 12 miles. It definitely didn’t hold my truck and figured I smoked the pads. They told me to come back first thing in the morning and they would do their best to squeeze me in. I’m in an off-road expedition truck with full camper so that was no problem. Next day they managed to work me in, and they are busy. Honest people! The pads were still OK and just needed an adjustment. Works great. Plus, while I was there I mentioned if they had time and wanted to do more I was coming up on an oil change and tire rotation. They’re squeezed that in too. Plus they went the extra step of checking my air filter and even though by mileage it should have been OK, it sure didn’t look OK. I had them replace that too. I go off-road remote on a regular basis so always double check work as I carry a full tool inventory. Nothing to do with trusting the shop, but I’m ultimately responsible for the condition of my rig. Angry Irish is one of the very few shops I have dealt with that got everything right. Lug nuts weren’t too tight or too loose. I carry a torque wrench. Oil drain proper along with filter. I was thrilled to see they installed a MOPAR oil filter as I only use MOPAR, Cummins or Fleetgaurd filters. Air filter good, properly seated and clipped in. Angry Irish is fantastic! I wish I could find a shop like that in all my travels."
