"We are thankful to have consistent internet although it seems that certain times of the day the signal strength is minimal and the speed very slow. We don’t game, stream movies or music nor “work” from home so our service is adequate but expensive for the quality of service. Hopefully all this will resolve with the completion of the Fiber Optic installation. Thank you."
"Great service ! We enjoy our internet and uninterrupted service . very few times we have been down since the repairs . Thanks for the great service .J."
"If I would have given a review 2 months ago, BEFORE the email switch, I would have given Blackfoot a 5 star. I have been with them for 20 years with excellent service. Their local techs (in person) are great, and the phone service has always been near perfect the star is for them - no complaints until..... The email switch (to 3rd party Zimbra) has shaken my confidence in what should be a very secure service. I no longer get emails that should be delivered daily to my inbox. (example: daily post office email and my mom's blood pressure readings from nursing home). I have been working with customer service for about a month. They insist that my email/IP is kicking them back to the server, but no one seems to know why, or how to fix the problem. They said my email was hacked and we changed my password - didn't solve the problem. NO ONE other than Blackfoot would have my password. I did NOTHING to alter my email or adjust any settings on my end. I'm tired of dealing with the HOURS spent going over the same problem. I also stopped getting ANY SPAM emails that used to fill up my SPAM folder daily - which is crazy because no one just stops getting junk mail and I've set no filters to sort out any emails. Something is just not right with the new system and I don't trust it to deliver my emails. So, I suggest if you want a secure and reliable email - go somewhere else."
"When they have a monopoly, they don't care about being a good neighbor to small Montana businesses. After paying $326/month for several years with Blackfoot, we finally got fiber on our street and we switched. Our phones are VOIP and we needed the speed. Blackfoot invoiced us for breaking the contract to the tune of $6k. Watch out for these guys. They don't care if you're a little guy."
"Really no one to contact on weekends for outages. They dont care about counties outside of Missoula area. Just give excuses for poor service. Drops service many times during the day, cant play games, or use wifi at same time. Have to shut down other shared wifi appliances. Called them on weekday and given lame excuses. "In a few years we'll be better." But to lose all internet on a Griz football game day really sucks. ONE STAR DESERVED TODAY."
