"Had an absolute fantastic meal at Sam’s City Diner! The service was great, super friendly staff, and our food was delicious. We came for breakfast and they had a great variety of bfast foods. The crabby benny is 10/10! The restaurant had a retro, old school classic diner vibe. I will definitely be coming back when in Anchorage again!"

"Well lit. Clean tables and quick service. Friendly place, and a good experience with the kids. An average plate is $20 a person, the kids menu was $8 - $10 per item. The food is your standard American style burger place, but they also do breakfast all day if that is what you're looking for. The handmade milkshakes are a wonderful treat too."

"A super simple diner that offers breakfast, lunch and dinner. Coffee to wine and beer. My grits were fluffy and not gritty which was really nice, my food was fresh and warm, not steaming. Country fried steak had nice gravy, not too thick or runny. Had home fries over hash browns and my sunny side up eggs were cooked perfectly. They offer a variety of toasts(I recommend the sourdough) and English muffins. Only downside is that it gets cold a bit fast, so makes you want to eat faster. My coffee also wasn't hot so after my cream it was lukewarm. Overall not bad, definitely tasty but I'm a girl that likes hot food too enjoy, especially on a cold Alaskan day."

"Absolutely adorable classic diner, excellent service. Chrome is polished, vibe is 100%, food choices are amazing. We had Samies skillet (such tender meat and creamy burnaise, omg), the 2x2x2 (absolute classic and delicious), and the benedict florentine (eggs poached to perfection, yummy hollandaise, delicious). Didn't indulge on this visit, but the momosas and beers looked great too. Can't wait to go again next time I'm in Anchorage. If you're looking for a great diner, do this one! Killer coffee too."

"We had a very hardy breakfast at Sami's City Diner. I had the traditional breakfast. Wife built her own omelet and our son had a gigantic breakfast burrito. The food was great and the service was outstanding. We thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast and it was our first time having reindeer sausage. It was very good as well. They give you plenty to est and the service is very good."
