"Great find in Haines. The coffee was good.. the sandwiches (marble bread) were yummy for lunch.. the cookies were delicious too. They also sell other food items and liqueur. Mike and Logan - great service and truly made us feel welcomed."
"Sunday, turns out no espresso bar, big bummer when that's what we wanted. They did give me hot tea. I bought a Gyros hoagie. Would not do that again. Mostly a fat hunk of bread and a smig of meat and vegetables. There weren't any non-bread items, like a wrap or salad with meat. Great organic grocery section with a small selection. Great liquor store selection and decent prices. The employees were great and doing there best given so many disappointed customers. We tipped them well for Great attitude and cleanliness!"
"Lots of keto and vegan options. Cafe that has their own coffee too. Baked goods and even some bread from Juneau. Espresso bar is open Tuesday through Saturday. Closed Sunday and Monday but you can still get the drip coffee."
"We spent many days on and off coming to this Cafe. It's a place where there's a small market with good (by good I mean quality) products and there's a coffee place where you can as well eat a sandwich, a pie, a soup or any deserts type. The people working there are very kind, lovely and nice. The place is big enough. There are plugs, but no wifi unfortunately for bagpackers like us. The food is really good, not too sweet for the pastries and stuff. So perfect. And the pies and soup are very original. The prices are "normal" for Alaska, the coffee a bit cheaper than other places. Just one bad thing is : plastic is everywhere. They don't ask if you stay or go, in order to put you hot beverage in a mug or plastic cup. So really it's so sad. The microplastics might be in all this food and then it ends up in our bodies. And then in the ocean or elsewhere. I've worked in restaurant with almost no plastic so I know it's doable and totally possible. I was hesitating with 4 stars because of that, but compared to what there is in Haines, it's still the best place in town despite that. Hopefully that will change soon. Thanks for everything."
