"I'm at Trapper now, and never before have I felt the feeling of being proud in myself, the feeling of being wanted by people, being around people who help pick me up when I'm down, and people who push and urge me to be the best person, I can be. In my dorm, we treat each other like a family, with respect, kindness, and understanding. Don't get me wrong, Trapper has problems, but everything and everywhere does, so please don't tear down the name or the reputation of our Trapper Creek Job Corps. It's a great program and I strongly recommend it for people 16 through 24."
"This facility is not only unprofessional, unmaintained, and full of health risks (mold), but also unsafe. My time at Trapper was uneventful, stressful, and disappointing. There was no privacy or food with nutritional value. They have major issues like lack of cameras, favoritism, and unmaintained infrastructure. However, there were amazing people there like Mr. Holstein and Mr. Arronson."
"My son ended up in the hospital and no one from Trapper Creek called to tell his family. When I questioned them about it, they gave me a lame excuse that he was 18 and they didn’t have to. When they have students there and something happens, you call the family and let them know. This Job Corps has some serious issues. Steer clear."
"I joined this job corp and was a part of it from 1988 to 1989, and it transformed my very small view of life, and it helped me to learn how the world really works and that I needed the understanding of how others from different walks of life view the world. I made some friends and I have a lot of memories. Wished I could go back to sometimes."
"I am currently a student at Trapper Creek, and it has been the most beneficial decision I have ever made. I dropped out of high school and had no other direction to turn to so I found this place. Going in at 16 I had lots of anxiety and was constantly getting in trouble, now a year and 6 months later I’m a Senior student leader in my dorm (home of the Trojans) and the Student Government Association President. People can change with the help and the will. 100% would recommend for struggling people between 16-24."
