"The people at Eagle River Body & Paint are incredible. I encountered them by chance because of their status as a licensed U-Haul Neighborhood Dealer. The short version of my story is that the people here are honest, thoughtful, and talented, and you should give them your business. The long version of my story is below. I rented a 6x12 U-Haul trailer from the North Anchorage U-Haul location on Boundary Ave. I reserved the trailer for a drop-off in Seattle, and explained to the North Anchorage U-Haul that I would be traveling through Yukon and British Columbia on the Alaska Highway during winter, and that the trailer should be in good shape. The North Anchorage U-Haul hooked me up to a first trailer, only to discover that the wheels were seized up. The employee then hooked me up to another nearby trailer. I looked at the wheels and questioned whether they were sufficient for the length of my drive. The tires were almost completely bald. They had little tread at all. The trailer as also banged up, and did not have the proper stickers to indicate the existence of the dents that were present. The U-Haul didn't seem to care much, and sent me on my way. After traveling less than an hour outside Anchorage in a snow storm, the trailer got a flat tire. I pulled into the nearest U-Haul location I could find, which happened to be Eagle River Body & Paint. I parked in their lot and contacted U-Haul roadside assistance. One of the employees of Eagle River Body & Paint came by to see if everything was OK. We explained the situation. He took one look at the tires and said that all four were wildly inadequate, and that he wouldn't let someone take a trailer to Fairbanks in that condition. He also noted that the trailer was hooked up incorrectly, and that the North Anchorage location had a reputation for this level of incompetence. We struggled to get U-Haul to replace all four tires. Instead, they sent a provider with one spare tire to replace the tire that had blown out on the highway. Several hours went by, along with dozens of calls to U-Haul, who explained that they were having difficulty locating other spare tires in the area. The Egale River Body & Paint business owner became involved at some point in this process, and began speaking with U-Haul himself. The owner and the employee tried to explain to U-Haul that these tires needed to be replaced, and that we had been waiting several hours for U-Haul to get us new tires. Eventually, the owner decided he would just take the tires of a 6x12 trailer he had on his location, and put them on our trailer. These tires were nearly new and were in great condition. Before U-Haul had even approved this plan, he took our trailer, swapped out the tires, and sent us on our way. I honestly don't know what we would have done without Eagle River Body & Paint. They were critical in getting us on our way in a timely fashion. They were friendly, professional, and helpful."
"this place is all about taking care of their customers and they refuse to overcharge. the owner will bend over backwards to help his customer that is just the way he is. The repairs are beyond expectations and I couldn't believe the honesty behind his recommendations. I thought I might just let my vehicle be totaled by the insurance company but he was true and honest and let me know that I should retain the salvage value on my vehicle. Then he took care of me and did me right on the repair and I still own my vehicle outright. I have never been talked to in such an honest and intelligent ligament way"
"Replaced the right rear passenger door on my 2001 Ford Excursion. Saved me money by recommending I pull one from a nearby junkyard rather than order a new one, which I did (Knik Salvage.) They replaced and repainted the door. Excellent blending and finish and they were able to use part of the old trim to save me from buying new trim. Very professional and courteous. Highly recommended and I will use them again!"
"The BEST business in Alaska to take your vehicle!!! Highly recommend their services!!! Excellent customer service from start to finish, doing the best by their customers, and it shows in the superior quality of their body/paint work! Speedy, knowledgeable, friendly, and reliable! My family and friends have happily taken our vehicles to Eagle River Body and Paint for years and they do a great job every time!"
"I have dealt with this business on several occasions. They do speedy but good work on your vehicle. I have been happy each time I have gone and the one time I had a problem they fixed it with no questions asked quickly. (it was not their fault or mine, it was some faulty material on the car) I recommend this business to everyone. the guy who runs this, Brian is very nice, he is very busy all the time so if you don't catch him right away be patient. the work they do is worth it. I give them a A+ on everything."
