"If ZERO stars were allowed, that's what they deserve. Made a reservation on the web May 31, 2022 for a July 4, 2022 pickup. Received reminders from them up until day before pickup, only to find they had been closed all day on the 4th. Thanks to AVIS, we were not stranded for a family event. Don't bother trying to rent from them, they do not respond or accommodate their customers."

"This company is struggling and could ruin your trip. You should choose another option! I have used Hertz many times over the years and have never experienced the unprofessional and unreliable treatment like our recent trip to NC. I booked a car in advance, confirmed my reservation the week of the trip, and received a 24 hour reminder email from Hertz. All had the address for pick up. Upon arrival at the provided address, I found out Hertz hadn’t been located there in months! When I called Hertz, they rudely told me it was a seasonal location and that I shouldn’t have booked there. When I asked to submit a complaint, I was told to send an email — it’s been 2+ months with no reply. This caused me to be late for a wedding and I had to pay significantly more with a different rental company, since I was booking last minute. This was shockingly poor customer service."

"#Hertz location closed. Received email confirmation of our rental 3 days prior to arrival but nothing advising us of the closure. No cars available elsewhere. Now stuck at our vacation rental after a $40 Lyft ride. Was a 25 year loyal customer but they have broken that trust."

"I have tried renting from the Juneau Hertz on multiple occasions. My flight lands, and no one is at the counter. One time I waited 45 minutes, another time 30 minutes. If you call the number the show on the counter, no one picks up. Today, I am arriving at 10:54pm, but the location closes at 10:00. If anyone is there. I tried calling to ask about how I would get my car. It went to voice mail but the mailbox is full. As a president's circle member, I really do prefer to rent from Hertz, but not in Juneau."

"WARNING: check your credit card for fees from these guys, even a month after you return your vehicle. Also there was a lot of confusion when I returned my rental, the lady had no clue what she was doing and she even called me a week later trying to say I returned my car several days late. I used the drop box, but I strongly suggest if you do this that you take a video of you doing the process and showing date and time."
