"Our daughter came to Embark in November and is continuing her care there now. She had a little bump in the road and needed to be hospitalized during her stay at Embark. It wasn’t what we hoped for, but the staff at Embark was AMAZING in getting her the best care she needed and after a week she is settled back “home” (her words) at Embark and ready to finish the program strong. Thank you to all the wonderful staff for your love and care that you gave our girl during this hard time. I think she probably is/was the better for having you there with her. We feel truly blessed to have found Embark at Flathead Valley!"

"I made the very difficult decision to send my daughter to residential treatment at Embark Flathead Valley after 2 inpatient stays for anxiety, depression, self harm and suicidal ideation. She was there for just over two months and all I can say is that it was transformational both for her and for us as a family. Every staff member we encountered was warm and caring; her therapist (David) was the best we've ever had and made progress with her that many other providers in the past could not. I know how scary it can be to be faced with the decision to send a child who is already struggling away from home for care, but the team at Embark Flathead Valley did what I could not. They patiently addressed everything she was experiencing (low self esteem, negative self talk, social anxiety, school refusal, etc) and gave her the opportunity to experience life and happiness again. I am so incredibly grateful."

"We are not sure if a grandmother or grandfather have ever written a review of Embark at Flathead Valley but we are. We very much need to. You see, we have this wonderful granddaughter who was recommended for treatment there earlier this year. Now we live on the East Coast and Embark at Flathead Valley is in Montana. The thought of us not being able to see her was devastating. She, like her brother and cousins are our world. And knowing she was going to go to a new place with new people so far away was perhaps the scariest thing we could have ever imagined. We also have this wonderful daughter (our granddaughter’s mom) who we watched courageously take her across the country and have to leave her own young daughter in this new environment. Equally devastating in every way. Add to that we couldn’t imagine the pain her husband and other child at home must have been feeling. You pray to God all day that all of this will end successfully and quickly so. But we don’t get to choose that timing and honestly, the anxieties add up. And while we tried to understand that the issues that our granddaughter deals with are a marathon and not a sprint to success, all we could hope for was a spark….the kind of spark that little girl of ours has given us since the day she was born. And, we got them. All through the entire time she was there, our daughter would give us encouraging updates. And each time she would update us, it was always about the PEOPLE at Embark. She would tell us about the care, the compassion and the dedication EACH of them showed to her daughter, our granddaughter. We would occasionally receive pictures where we would see her smile back again. That’s all we needed. And while our daughter would talk about ALL of the Embark people at Flathead Valley, there was one in particular, her therapist who she raved about every time. Not only was this therapist helping our granddaughter through her issues, she was also busy helping our daughter and husband navigate the incredibly difficult world of insurance. In short, this therapist gave our daughter her smile back too. And we will always be grateful to her and all of the people there. About all those people…..when our granddaughter was released to return home, we were fortunate to go out and help bring her home. And while we didn’t get to meet and thank these fine people while there, we got to see a horse therapist work with her and a staff throughout the campus all stop and make such a fuss out of our granddaughter which defined them and this facility all so well in one word—-HEART. In short, they gave both of these wonderful women in our lives, their smile back. And, they are giving us ours too."

"There are no words to describe the gratitude I feel for all of the staff members at Embark in Flathead. The campus is filled with exceptional people who care immensely for the health and well-being of the clients in their care. I am so thankful for all of them. Making the decision to take my daughter across the country for residential care was one of the hardest things my family has ever had to do. I will never forget the fear, pain, and anxiety I felt before dropping her off to an unknown place, with unknown people, for an unknown amount of time. To my surprise and relief, all of that quickly went away when we stepped onto campus. At admission, we were immediately met by an incredible woman who greeted us with kindness and compassion. Her warmth settled a lot of nerves. That trend continued as we met the life coaches, nurse, director, and the amazing woman who would be my daughter’s therapist. While the tears flowed when I left that day, my heart knew that this was the right place and these were the right people to help my daughter get her life back. I still remember calling all of our family members and friends who were worried about her to let them know that she would be okay because of these people. My instincts were so right. During the toughest time of my daughter’s life, she was surrounded by compassionate people to help her navigate the pain and guide her towards healing. She truly felt cared for and as a mother, that’s all you can hope for in this difficult situation. She always knew that she had someone to be there when she needed it most… 24/7. I can’t write this review without speaking about her therapist. All of the therapists there were special and, as noted in other reviews, seemed to be perfect for their child. My daughter’s therapist was no exception. She will forever be one of my favorite people I have ever met… a real life superhero. In only ONE week, this exceptional woman was able to make so much progress with not only my daughter, but my family as a whole. I have worked with and been a client of numerous therapists throughout my life, but no one holds a candle to this one. Not only is she brilliant at what she does, she cares for these kids like they’re her own. She is an absolute joy and I am indebted to her for life. I could continue to praise this place and these people endlessly, but the bottom line is that you can trust your most precious loved one at Embark in Flathead. It was not an easy journey by any means, but you can rest assured that your child is with the greatest people. They will be there for your child when you can’t and help them get back to the life they so deserve. Thank you to all of these special people "

"Our daughter spent 3 months in the Flathead Valley at Embark this Spring/Summer. During that time, we came to know the staff and the program well and were extremely happy with the care she received and the progress she (and we) made. Initially we were just relieved that she was safe and with competent and compassionate people. As time passed, we witnessed the positive impact of the stripping away of screens, the consistent daily routine, the emphasis on community among the participants, and the beauty of the setting. The most significant healing element for her was her extraordinary therapist. His non-judgmental, humorous, caring approach won her over and the trust they developed allowed her to dig deep. He was completely supportive and responsive to us as well. We have all come away from this experience changed for the better. We are forever grateful."
