"I bought a Simpson door (and jamb) through Boyce. It was extremely expensive ($4000), but we wanted a nice quality wood door. After waiting for over 6 months, I got an email saying that the door had arrived, but that it had gaps in it and didn’t meet their quality standards. So they sent it back, and we waited another 4 months. Then we got our door. Although it had some gaps in and throughout, they said it looked good. It took me some time to secure someone to install the door, so it was stored in my garage for 3 months and then inside for another 4 months during the winter to acclimate the wood. Once the door was installed there seemed to be more gaps and the dowelings weren’t as flush with the door. I brought my concerns to Boyce, who reached out the Simpson rep to see what they had to say. Rather than stand by their product, they told that I hadn’t stored the door appropriately and that my warranty was voided. I am beyond angry, and there is literally nothing I can do now other than write this review. I cannot stress this enough, do not use this door department. You would assume that after spending so much, that you’d be considered a valued customer. Not the case with Boyce. They don’t stand by their product nor their word. I looked up Simpson’s reviews and found that these issues seem to becoming more common. And yet, rather than trust in me, their customer, Boyce does not."
"Awesome crew of people… Vince is super helpful and always willing to answer any questions I have . Definitely recommend this place"
"We have leaned on Boyce heavily in the restoration of our 90 year old house. They have helped us with doors, siding, closets and stairs. Awesome staff, very helpful and cheerful."
"As as handyman I spend a lot of time at Boyce. They have the best staff, both in the lumber yard/drive-through and the sales desk. I have had some odd requests for materials I've needed and they area alwasy up to that task. I'm not one of the big builders in town, but they treat my like the work I'm doing is important. Go see the team at Boyce! Also cool that this place has been a family run business for over 80 years in the heart of Missoula!"
"Couldn't imagine shopping anywhere else for my home improvement needs! Ordered everything from framing, deck boards, and railing for my new deck. They helped me custom design my layout (Thank goodness). My friend came in from ND to help with framing. He's been in the building industry for awhile, and was very impressed with their Lumber. Much Appreciated!"
